They're not stupid. They wont let one of the best raising LTs in the league (Jason Peters) go. He's still got 3 years left on his deal by the way, he'll play this year. As Bengals #85 would say, he may be dumb but he's not stupid. Lee Evans is solid and has had to deal with 1st round QB bust JP Losman for almost his entire young NFL career. If the team can stay healthy, they should have a good year. Evans will be set up for a nice payday, whether or not the new-look Bills front office will pay what it takes to keep him is another story. Its probably going to have to wait to get the rookies deals done so you know who they're structured to do Lee's deal right. He's going to need big money and he needs to get paid first because he's only got one year left. They did do the right thing by listening to him about the new offensive coordinator and by what they did in the off season should show a commitment to winning that he wanted. Peters is just unfortunately going to have to wait. If he proves he is a dominant receiver, then offer him a good contract after the season. If he doesn't it then Franchise him for 2009......I think Evans is overrated. He is not a dominant number 1 receiver. He is a very good deep threat. I hope he proves me wrong with a strong 2008 and if he does, then the Bills should pay him.
