Even if this were remotely possible, which I doubt, where are they going to come up with the cap room for both of these players, and what people do you cut from the roster to make roster slots available for these two?

The Packers owe Favre nothing. They paid him to play for them. That is all he deserves. If he hadn't thrown the final interception of the playoff game against the Giants last year, perhaps he would have been in a the Super Bowl and had another Super Bowl win.

As a longtime Packer/Favre fan, please just stay retired Brett, please. We up here are sick of going through this crap year after year. Aaron Rogers has earned his shot and it's his turn to run the team, sink or swim. Brett, please stay retired and please just keep your piehole shut.

Dear Moonbeammoron, no, look out for the winners of the next superbowl. Do you not realize how stupid you sound, jumping on the catch phrase bandwagon?

Tell me if this is right..

The NFL is comprised of teams that put together the best possible players available at any given position in the hopes of not only making the playoffs but bringing home a superbowl. They do not worry about hurting inferior players feelings, period!
All you folks wringing your hands over poor Aaron Rodgers are either morons or have other agendas on this matter, like cheering for a team that Favre has kicked your ass up and down the field for so many years, the thought of him coming back to do it some more drives you to get on these blogs and sound like total idiots.
Yeah, I feel bad for Aaron but he did not help his case with packer fans telling us to jump on his bandwagon or keep our mouths shut.
Favre washed up?? Lets see, threw for over 4000 yards last year, led a team supposedly going nowhere to the NFC Championship game and, oh yeah, was the only other person in the league besides Brady(who definitely earned it), to get a vote for league mvp.
2 MORE YEARS!!!!!!!!! 2 MORE RINGS!!!!!!!

The more I read and think about this, Brett will start his 254th game in a Packer uniform. One more run.

For all those Favre is washed up folks I'd like to know why a 39 year old would be wanted.

If the Pack take him back they will want two years and no drama. JT no chance and who cares. Rodgers will stay. Brohm would go if that's the case. Taylor is not worth anything more than a 4th so the Brohm deal is a good one. With that said this is not Madden 2009. Draft picks for players. not players for players.

Back to Favre being washed up.
You can honestly tell me you'd rather have the following starting QB's from these teams than Favre??

GB
CHI
VIQUEENS
SF
MIA
BALT
AZ
HOU
DET
CAR
TB
JACK
OAK

I'd take him. Proven walking history.

Just what the Packers need to make them a further laughing stock after the Favre fiasco - a girly man in a tutu, dancing his way to the quarterback.

Favre will be TRADED to a COLD WEATHER team with NO WEAPONS. And no salary cap. Does such a team EXIST in the AFC?

But what's their cap space especially since they'd have to pay Fav-re his $12mil? JT would want a decent amount of cash I would think.

Are you kidding me? The words of that "unnamed source" are, at least in part, identical to Mort's last week on ESPN. He said the EXACT same phrase: "Maybe if Favre was still there, but even that wouldn’t be a given"

I'm not saying Mort is the source, but I am saying this isn't news. NFL Live pondered this same thing about a week or so ago.

Well of course it all makes perfect sense...TT is NOT giving up any picks for Taylor who has said he'd play one more year and with Favre back taking the reins who heads to Miami? Answer...one disgruntled Arron Rodgers. After winning the Super Bowl Favre and Taylor ride off into the sunset (Favre...for real this time) and then Brohm takes over for the Green and Gold and we have our next franchise QB. Seriously this is what I and others have thought what happened after finding out Favre may or may not have wanted back and us contacting the fins about JT.

If Favre returned and Jason Taylor joined the Packers they would instantly become the NFC favorites, and would likely play the winner of the Patriots-Jaguars game in the AFC Title. I would still favor the AFC team, but then again, if the Giants could pull it off, the Packers DEFINITELY could.

The simple answer: No. Bringing back Favre and trading for Jason Taylor would cost the Packers $16+ million in salaries just for those two players plus draft picks. Why would a team cripple itself like that?

For all that is righteous...STOP THE MADNESS!!!

This whole thing with Favre is getting out of hand. Yes...slow news week, and I understand the need to keep people bang'n your site, but this is out of hand.

Sometimes no news is good news...and it would be nice to come here during my multiple times a day, to find something else besides more speculation on Favre.

Jeesus! I DONT CARE about Brett Farve. The guy is a washed up talent who threw a lot of interceptions to lose a lot of games. He hasn't been much above an average qb for about 4 years His personal story was the only thing that got fans to like him so much; and this story is way more than he ever deserved. I know its a slow news day Florio, but can you write something besides meaningless speculation about a guy who most of us no longer care about?

If you've got nothing else, just don't post anything.

Not a chance. Tuna only likes players that he can "trust" to stick to the plan and not improvise. One of the reasons Romo had to wait so long to start. Bledsoe was benched for improvising on one play.

If Favre comes back, I predict it be for 2008 AND 2009.

A Jason Taylor for Aaron Rodgers trade actually makes sense for both teams - and everyone in general. A win/win/win/win situation. Taylor gets his wish and goes to a winner. Rodgers gets his wish and gets to play full-time. The Packers get better with Taylor on the D-Line, and the Dolphins get better immediately and have their QB of the future.

Let Brian Brohm be the Packers QB in 2010.

Yes, we all know that Green Bay is the large market that Taylor craves. Sure JT wants to go to a contender, but he also wants the large media market to use as a springboard for his acting ambitions.

I don't know about landing Taylor. I believe the main reason for him not wanting in was the market, not the QB situation.

Still I believe the Pack are ready to move on without Favre.
