Something occurred to me while chatting with our friends at Big Sports 590 in Omaha a little bit ago.
If Brett Favre returns to the Packers, and if the Packers take him back, do the Packers suddenly become the favorites to land Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor?
“He’s been through that quarterback thing before,” an unnamed source told Greg Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel last month. “He doesn’t want to go through it again. Maybe if Favre was still there, but even that wouldn’t be a given.”
So if Favre is there, maybe Taylor decides that it makes sense to play in Green Bay, and to make a run at a Super Bowl title before heading off to Tinsletown.

….HUH?…isn’t a big problem with Taylor the fact that he has said he only wants to play 1 more year before he “goes Hollywood”….how does the Farve situation change THAT?…..What are the Packers going to give up to get Taylor for 1 lousy year?…..

I know you stole this from me. I have been posting it on a bunch of blogs all day long. Like the hot chick in the movie water boy told lynn swann. “It ain’t a guess, it’s what it’s gonna be!”

speaking of tinseltown, I would like to see both those guys in that drug commercial where the donkey kicks the kids in the legs.
Maybe we can get a reshoot where JT and Favre get kicked in the nuts by the donkey.

Favre will be TRADED to a COLD WEATHER team with NO WEAPONS. And no salary cap. Does such a team EXIST in the AFC?

Just what the Packers need to make them a further laughing stock after the Favre fiasco - a girly man in a tutu, dancing his way to the quarterback.

For all those Favre is washed up folks I’d like to know why a 39 year old would be wanted.
If the Pack take him back they will want two years and no drama. JT no chance and who cares. Rodgers will stay. Brohm would go if that’s the case. Taylor is not worth anything more than a 4th so the Brohm deal is a good one. With that said this is not Madden 2009. Draft picks for players. not players for players.
Back to Favre being washed up.
You can honestly tell me you’d rather have the following starting QB’s from these teams than Favre??
GB
CHI
VIQUEENS
SF
MIA
BALT
AZ
HOU
DET
CAR
TB
JACK
OAK
I’d take him. Proven walking history.

The more I read and think about this, Brett will start his 254th game in a Packer uniform. One more run.

Tell me if this is right..
The NFL is comprised of teams that put together the best possible players available at any given position in the hopes of not only making the playoffs but bringing home a superbowl. They do not worry about hurting inferior players feelings, period!
All you folks wringing your hands over poor Aaron Rodgers are either morons or have other agendas on this matter, like cheering for a team that Favre has kicked your ass up and down the field for so many years, the thought of him coming back to do it some more drives you to get on these blogs and sound like total idiots.
Yeah, I feel bad for Aaron but he did not help his case with packer fans telling us to jump on his bandwagon or keep our mouths shut.
Favre washed up?? Lets see, threw for over 4000 yards last year, led a team supposedly going nowhere to the NFC Championship game and, oh yeah, was the only other person in the league besides Brady(who definitely earned it), to get a vote for league mvp.
2 MORE YEARS!!!!!!!!! 2 MORE RINGS!!!!!!!

As a longtime Packer/Favre fan, please just stay retired Brett, please. We up here are sick of going through this crap year after year. Aaron Rogers has earned his shot and it’s his turn to run the team, sink or swim. Brett, please stay retired and please just keep your piehole shut.

Even if this were remotely possible, which I doubt, where are they going to come up with the cap room for both of these players, and what people do you cut from the roster to make roster slots available for these two?
The Packers owe Favre nothing. They paid him to play for them. That is all he deserves. If he hadn’t thrown the final interception of the playoff game against the Giants last year, perhaps he would have been in a the Super Bowl and had another Super Bowl win.
