Patriots’ season-ticket holders are beginning to receive their admission slips to the ten games that will be played at Gillette Stadium in 2008.
The ten tickets commemorate great moments in Patriots history. And a franchise that has been to six Super Bowls, winning three of them, should be able to quickly come up with a ten-pack of great moments — for example, the six AFC title game victories, the three Super Bowl wins, and the Snow Bowl/Tuck Rule game against the Raiders in the 2001 playoffs that launched the run of three Super Bowl titles in four seasons.
But, somehow, the Pats have opted to include their largest single-game margin of victory as one of the ten moments.
Possibly because the team on the wrong end of that 56-3 score was the New York Jets.
The bad blood between these two franchises is undeniable, and we’re convinced that, if that 53-point win had come at the expense of any other team, the outcome of a regular-season game from a year that didn’t even result in a playoff berth surely wouldn’t have made its way onto the face of a ticket.
Anyway, here’s the key portion of the ticket to the August 7 games between the Pats and the Ravens. Discuss amongst yourselves.

The Pats are the only team in NFL history to not win a championship with a record of 18-1. So they are the worst 18-1 team in NFL history. Getting caught cheating sucks, doesn’t it?

The Pats did indeed win by 56-3, so JETS fans suck it up and face it. It happened. It is not a lie. It was a butt whipping to the nth degree.
And Bill B. was not involved in it.

as much as i hate the “cheatriots” what else you going to put as your top ten after the super bowls? why not put your biggest margin of victory? at least bellycheat wasn’t coaching them at the time, i am guessing if grogan was playing , maybe it was the very classy raymond berry coaching-someone bellycheat could of learned a thing or two from.

Wow, get over it already folks.
What the heck does cheating have to do with 18-1? In fact last season could be seen as absolutely clean, because they were so scrutinized, and yet they had one of their best seasons ever, rewriting the record books. 18-1 yes, they lost the last game. Hey, it happens. The Giants played one hell of a game, and things also swung their way, just like things swung the Pats way so many times in the last 8 years.
Must be a boat load of jealousy out there still. Worst 18-1 team ever? Yeah I suppose so. Those records mean nothing. Being the only team to ever win all 16 regular season games means nothing. Most prolific offense in history, nothing. Biggest point differential in history, nothing. Yeah, they were just awful.
Stop whining and give the players their due. They played at an incredible level, and although they lost the superbowl, they also created one of the most memorable seasons ever, for all the RIGHT reasons. Too bad so many people have to cling to their bitterness and can’t appreciate it. Some football fans CAN. For instance, I HATE the Colts, and anything Manning, but I appreciate the guy’s talent and great play. I watched with amazement when he threw 49 TDs, and admitted he was good and talented, DESPITE all the reasons I dislike the team, and especially Polian.

Stay Classy?
They are cheating bums who took one of their own to move to another team to rat them out.
Those Super Bowls are all tainted.
Look at how great the great Offensive Wonder Tub is doing at Notre Dame now that he can’t steal and use signals.
What comes around baby, what comes around.
!8-1 and your season sucked.
Won it all but what mattered.
Keep that champaign on ice Miami because it still is the only table run in major sports history.
Bob, Manny, Mercury, Jim, Larry L. and Z. Jake, and all those freakin’ hammer heads own what the Pats may never have.
R E S P E C T
Because Don Shula did it right.
and no, I’m not a Miami fan, I”m just old school.
I’m beginning to think after the Streiodeelers crap came out, that the only team doing it right was the the Green Bay Packers.
Max McGee making Super Bowl history while hung over is still a classic.

Really, is anyone surprised at this? I mean, even in the least bit?
Any team that would systematically cheat and then when caught red-handed, make up the lamest excuse in the universe as their official PR response is totally and absolutely the most morally bankrupt franchise in pro sports.
As they say, Karma is a bitch and Bill Bellicheat will get to know her on a bibical basis this next season. I for one, can’t wait to see just how it unfolds.

This is an awful thing for Bob Kraft to do. It’s well known how humiliated the Jets were in this loss. From the responses above its clear this still stings them today.
Kraft and Belichick should be more sensitive to the feelings of the Jets organization and Jets fans. It’s tough enough for them to retain their fans as it is. Sure a 56-3 victory is impressive - but I think the Patriots should completely leave the Jets out of it and overlook their biggest margin of victory ever, choosing instead a team who’s organization and fans are man enough to accept it

well said stanjam..
partypimp is definitely not guilty of injecting himself with performance enhancing spell-check…
I love how all these people think they are so original with “18-1*”, “Cheatriots”, “Bellicheat”, and my personal favorite “Dynasties don’t lose Super Bowls.” Unless you are the originator of the phrase, wouldn’t you be plagiarising and wouldn’t that be considered itself… cheating?
Get over it people. I’m sure every single NFL team, knowingly or unknowingly, has broken some rule to give themselves a competitive edge… even my Seahawks. Stop whining because your team got beat by a better Patriots team. You’re just mad that your team got their butts kicked. I’m mad that we drafted Rick Mirer #2 overall. But that is all in the past. Move on, people.

Too many people view the world through rose colored glasses where their team works in the lollipop factory during the off season making sweet treats during the day, and in the evening, reading books to blind kids.
The conveniently ignore reality. For most of them, they live vicariously through their teams and it helps them cope emotionally with the blow to their own ego’s to see their teams walloped by the Pats.
Awaits the predictable incoming Pats homer diatribe.

In the history of cheating, this has to be the most minimal gain.
Big deal.
Spit balls.
Steroids.
Sharpened spikes.
Corked bats.
Paid off refs.
All of these things are nothing to some folks, while someone videotaping what any fan can see all day long on the sideline is a huge thing.
Grow up, people.
I’m a Jag fan, and don’t care about the Pats, except to giv respect and root against them when they’re up against the Jags.
And your ongoing, everlasting, screaming about cheating whenever the Pats comes up is shameful and embarrassing.
