In April, Pats receiver Randy Moss expressed a desire to spend some of that three-year, $27 million contract on a racing team.
He has now made it happen.
According to the Charlotte Observer and ThatsRacin.com, Moss has purchased the majority interest in Morgan Dollar Motorsports.
The team will be called Randy Moss Motorsports. The new venture will debut on July 19 in the Craftsman Truck Series race at the Kentucky Speedway.
Moss plans to run two full-time truck teams in 2009. We still think that Moss should buy this one.

Excellent suggestion. That truck would be perfect for the team and could be called the Mossmobile. And we think the team itself should be named Big Lizard Racing.

I think this is a great investment for Moss. All silly weed jokes aside…he’s been very frugal w/ his money since coming into the league and he has secured a successful financial future for himself after he’s done playing. I THINK THIS IS A GREAT THING. (something tells me that most of your readers will feel differently….I WONDER WHY??? hahaha)

Will they race when they want to race?
My guess the trucks will go all out the first couple of miles, and if the race isn’t going their way they’ll just go half speed the rest of the way.

I’m with Axel Foley, in todays NFL, where player waste their money after getting paid, Moss does seem to have a head on him in terms of how to secure a future, once football is done. Now if he had put that much into other things, this wouldn’t nearly be the news item that it is. Nor would the jokes be there.

I can see it now: Drive by water bottle squirting of other trucks during the race and mooning the crowd out his window if he ever wins. I’ve also heard that Brady is considering opening a sperm bank.
