Our current poll question asks whether Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall is the new Pacman Jones and/or Chris Henry.

The objective evidence suggests that the answer is “hell yes.”

And since Adam Jones has since abandoned the “Pacman” moniker, we’ll apply it to Marshall.  So, from this point forward (or until we get bored with it), Brandon Marshall will be known in these parts as Pacman Marshall.

The Denver Post outlines a dozen incidents involving Marshall, dating back to his junior year at Central Florida.  The Post also points out that police were summoned on three occasions in little more than three months in connection with disputes between Marshall and girlfriend Rasheedah Watley.  A fourth incident also occurred during that same time frame.

In no case was Marshall arrested.

On March 18, 2007, Watley told police that Marshall hit her and took her purse from a hotel in Atlanta.

On June 8, 2007, Watley claimed that Marshall cut her in the thigh and punched her in the head.

Also on June 8, 2007, Watley’s friend, Kristeena Spivey, claimed that Marshall hit her car while she and Watley were in it.  Spivey said that Marshall then threw a rock at the passenger door of the car.

Then, on June 30, 2007, Watley told police that Marshall had punched and choked her.

Unless Marshall changes his ways right now, he deserves not just a suspension, but to be banished.  As we’ve recently argued on several occasions, folks who work in some capacity other than playing pro football get fired from their jobs for far less stuff, every day.

What better way to get the message across to all of the players than to fire one of them?  Few have been as deserving, in our view, as Pacman Marshall.
