Former NFL top-ten draft pick David Boston, spending his first year as a receiver with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL, will miss 10-12 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a stress fracture on his foot.
Official stats from the Argos’ regular-season opener show that Boston played in the team’s regular-season opener on June 27. (Originally, the stats credited Boston with one catch for four yards; the stats now show that he caught two passes and gained 12 yards.) The TSN report suggests that Boston didn’t play.
So, basically, the situation makes no sense.

He played, I believe the 2 catches for 12 yards is correct. Not a surprise he’s out since he’s only been able to practice a couple of times.

I think you can get the CFL on satellite. It’s better than watching baseball or hockey. Just my opinion, of course.

I have iO for Cablevision and there are CFL games on a channel called World Sports Net… they’re in HD too…

@notkrisroe: Comcast SportsNet used to show CFL games, although I don’t know if they still do.

Being a Canadian, I can tell that you’ll be dying for football even if you could watch the CFL in the USA.

I watched the game, I know he played and caught at least one pass. All CFL games are on TSN.

I guess you get stress fractures in your feet when your upper body accounts for 95% of your total weight.

You know it’s a slow news cycle when we start getting CFL injury updates…
It related news, reports out of Saskatchewan indicate that the defending Grey Cup Champion Roughriders will be without the services of fullback, Chris Szarka, for 2-3 weeks. It’s believed the Szarka ALSO suffered a fractured bone in his foot.
First Boston. Now Szarka. One more and I thin we need to get Arlen Specter involved to start an investigation into this foot breaking scandal. Maybe we can call it Fracturegate or Footgate or something witty and original like that.

Watched the game, he did play but was a complete non-factor. Bethel Johnson seems to get the idea.

Repeat after me.
Steroids are bad.
Adding all that muscle to a thin frame results in a lot of injuries to joints and ligaments.

David Boston should be the poster boy for reasons not doing steroids.
