Well, that was quick.
This afternoon we heard that the Steelers were trying to shop running back Najeh Davenport.
A couple of hours later, a league source told PFT that the Steelers couldn’t find any takers, so they’re cutting the veteran running back.
Davenport, who became expendable when the Steelers picked running back Rashard Mendenhall in the first round of the draft, had career highs in carries (107), yards (499) and touchdowns (five) in 2007.

Maybe he will get an opportunity to take the Browns to the Bowl…

Lot of crappy jokes here. Personally, I think ’shit’ is not talked about enough. Healthy elimination of toxins is not what mom and dad talked about in the average household.
Admittedly, crapping in the laundry bag is ‘over the top.’ Literally.

When I thought he was going to be carrying on the Bettis tradition, I liked calling Najeh “The Dump Truck.” I guess I can still call him that, but hopefully he does end up with another team.

He always played well against the Browns. He was a real Cleveland Steamer.

Sounds like his college antics hampered the Steelers’ efforts to make a trade.

I did not think much of the Steelers signing him, nor did he impress me in any games as a Steeler. I surprised by the Steelers looking to move on without him.
I am surprised there is no mention of the release in the local Pitt press nor the Steelers official web site.
Hmmmm…….
