An attorney representing the ex-girlfriend of Brandon Marshall says the Broncos wide receiver is lying when he claims that his March arrest was part of a “shakedown” attempt.
“His story that he has been a victim is as pathetic as the story that he slipped on a McDonald’s bag and injured his arm,” said David McGill, a lawyer for Marshall’s ex-girlfriend Rasheedah Watley. ”Hopefully, he will be as eager to tell his story in a court of law, under oath, as he has been in the media.”
Marshall was arrested on March 6 because, an Atlanta Police Department report says, Watley told police Marshall “threw her on the bed, grasped her head with his hand and began to slap her.” Marshall says the only physical altercation was when Watley’s sisters attacked him, and that Watley is trying to get money from him.
McGill said, “We have plenty of evidence to corroborate the history of physical abuse.”
Marshall also faced domestic violence charges in an incident involving Watley in March 2007. Those charges were later dismissed.
UPDATE: Taco Bill has eyeballed a Denver-area billboard aimed at propping up Marshall’s poor public image.

Marshall better hope he is cleared. The NFL will suspend his a$$ for a year if he is found guilty of holding down a woman and repeatedly slapping her across the face. Imagine if that was your daughter? If it is true, Denver should cut him, that day. If the union cries foul, public debate the qualities a person can have if that person is willing to hold down a woman by the head and slap her repeatedly across the face.

I’m not going to excuse his behavior if it is true. But keep in mind that 1 persons story on a subject doesn’t make it factual. We will see what happens with all this…

In an ever growing attempt to distance himself from WR Marshall, QB Jay Cutler had begun doing everything the opposite of Marshall.
Upon hearing Marshall slapped his girlfriend. Cutler has devoted much time and energy to being romantic to his.
His girlfriend said, “He’s just so sweet. If he were any more sweeter, I think I’d get diabe…..uh oh.”

Brandon “McDonald’s bag” Marshall. I think there should be an independent investigation to look into how Marshall thought of that story. Not because we need to know the truth, but its comedic gold. Were he and his brother sitting around putting their ideas together when they came up with it? Did he come up with the story on his own? Were their other options of fast food bags to slip on? I would have went with a Taco Bell bag, they are plastic and slippery. McDonald’s are paper with no handles. I want to know more, the fake story is fascinating.

Isn’t David McGill, the lawyer representing Marshall’s girlfriend, the same lawyer who represented the girl who brought up battery charges against Randy Moss? I believe so. If so I tend not to believe anything from either side until the facts are revealed in court.

If Marshall did this and Shanahan doesn’t cut him, he is a hypocrite. I am a Broncos fan and listened carefully when Shanahan said that if Kircus was at fault in his assault case “he would not be with [the Broncos].
Well, if Marshall did this, he should be off the team immediately, if the same logic applies. Of course, Marshall had 102 catches this year, while Kircus was the fourth or fifth guy on the depth chart- which may have played a small role in the decision.
