The case of the Jets fan suing the Patriots about Spygate isn’t over yet.
The Associated Press reports that a federal judge has given the fan, a Jets season ticket holder named Carl J. Mayer, more time to amend his lawsuit, in which he accuses the Patriots and Bill Belichick of “deceiving customers” by taping opponents’ signals.
Mayer claims new revelations have been uncovered thanks to Senator Arlen Specter looking into the matter, although it’s not clear what those revelations are.
Mayer says ticket holders paid a combined $61.6 million to watch eight “fraudulent” games and are therefore entitled to triple that amount, $184.8 million, under the federal RICO Act and the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act.

Probably the same message that the Broncos sent when they didn’t fire anyone when they were caught cheating. Or the 49ers. Or the San Francisco Giants when they didn’t cut Barry Bonds. Or when the Cubs didn’t do anything to Sammy Sosa for using a corked bat or steriods. Or the Chargers didn’t cut Shawne Merriman for using steriods (or any of the other teams who didn’t cut their players for getting caught using steriods).
Jesh, Patriots haters act like Belichick and the Pats are the only ones to ever get caught cheating. And they also think that Belichick should be held to a higher standard than many players who get caught cheating by using steriods.

LOL - The Patriots are not the only cheaters in the league people - they all cheat - they just got caught. Jets - Tampering - Denver - Cap Violations - Indy Piping in Crowd noise - San Deago and Carolina with there steroid ridden teams- Hell Florio can give you a whole List of cheating teams, I want MY money back Damn it- oh wait, I still enjoy the “games” and I was entertained watching them - so I guess it was $ well spent.

Now that you’ve made an ass of yourself by showing your ignorance, try educating yourself before you make a complete ass of yourself. McDonald’s intentionally put the public at risk by selling their coffee at 185 F about 40 degrees hotter than anyone else. They did it because at that temperature the aroma is stronger and causes people to buy more coffee. This is very normal, judges give litigants these type of extensions as a matter of course. That doesn’t mean the judge believes they are competent to handle a class action suit. They haven’t yet served the Pats because they are afraid to. My belief is that they can’t get any other plaintiffs to join them in their bogus lawsuit. The problem for them is that they have to prove that somehow the videotaping caused them damages.
He can have till Aug 30th, 2030 and he still will have nothing to go on here. This is going to be dismissed just like the equally idiotic lawsuit filed in New Orleans. I only wish that the bar association would crack down on attys who waste everyone’s time with this nonsense.

That we think sports couldn’t exist without us. That we think we are the center of the sports universe. They come to this blog to try and bash us and try to take us down. But the bottom line is that we ARE better than everybody else. We do DOMINATE everybody. When we say that the Lakers being a favorite in the series is a joke that’s because we get to watch our teams day in and day out. We know the West sucks. We know that the Lakers are soft. We know nobody can beat us. We know that nobody can compete with Boston in anything. So don’t hate us because we OWN your ass and we’re better than you at everything. The sooner everyobdy admits that they’re our bitch the sooner they can move on with their life. And keep in mind we’re not bragging. It’s just a statement of fact. We own you. Deal with it.

For an area who had sport teams that sucked so bad for so long, you’d think Boston would understand hubris. Oh well, everyone was sympathetic for the way they handled losing. I think that’s been cured by the way they handle winning.

Too bad being stupid isn’t a crime, Bellicheat would be serving 20 years for taping against the Jets knowing full well Eric “I am no longer a genuis” M knows what the deal is.
But the best part of these blogs are the NE fans trying to justify the moral bankruptcy of their entire organization from Bob Kraft down to the video dept. If Kraft had half a brain (and there is plenty of evidence that he does not), he would fire Bellicheat and declare a fresh start in the franchise.
Here is the deal, much like trading Babe Ruth, the Patriots will never again see success with Bill Bellicheat as the head coach. They will be forever cursed, even if the NFL referees have to take a page out of the NBA’s playoff strategy of insuring a certain team doesn’t advance. Mark my words on that one.
