As the Cowboys are still at impasse with receiver Terry Glenn regarding whether the veteran with the rickety knee will agree to accept a significant pay cut if said knee implodes, their backup plan could be to swing a deal for disgruntled Falcons receiver Joe Horn, according to Adam Schefter of NFL Network.

Horn has made it clear that he wants to be traded out of Atlanta, and so a deal to Big D would make sense.

The Cowboys need to do something/anything to improve their capacity at No. 2 wideout across from Terrell Owens.  Sure, they didn’t have Glenn for most of 2007.  But if they aspire to win a playoff game for the first time since 1996, they need a stronger option than Patrick Crayton or Sam Hurd.

But why do the Cowboys think Horn is the answer?  Though not plagued by the same knee problems, Horn is exactly six months older than Glenn, and Horn hasn’t racked up more than 1,000 receiving yards since 2004.
