Cardinals rookie offensive lineman Brandon Keith, who was drafted despite having several pending misdemeanor charges arising from (what else?) a brawl, has pleaded guilty to two of the charges.
According to the Waterloo-Cedar Falls (Iowa) Courier, Keith pleaded guilty earlier this week to rioting and interfering with officials acts.
He received two years of probation on the interference charge, and a deferred judgment has been entered on the rioting charge, which means that it will be erased if he successfully completes probation.
Keith took a Taser as part of the March 9 incident, after he charged police who responded to the scene of a fight at the Main Event Center in Cedar Falls.
The Cardinals picked Keith, who attended Northern Iowa, in the seventh round of the 2008 draft. He undoubtedly will be subject to a review pursuant to the Personal Conduct Policy, which could result in a fine or a suspension.

I doubt he’ll even make the team, and he’s already acting like a Bengal veteran.

Hey Florio, what percentage of your rumor mill postings are about players getting in trouble with the law? I would be interested to see the numbers on that. It’s getting downright ridiculous how much these players get in trouble. Ever think of doing a sporting news article on your opinions why they are always getting in trouble with the law. I know you’ve expressed some opinions on it but I’m not sure if you’ve ever actually wrote a full article on it.

“I doubt he’ll even make the team, and he’s already acting like a Bengal veteran.”
Where did that come from??? He was drafted by the Cards dipsh!t… Oh I get it, anybody who gets in trouble should automatically be associated with the Bengal. You know what happens when we assume. Check the Turd Watch points before you open your mouth and let the pooh flow next time, Detroit and Tenn both have 3 times the points that the bengals have.

We’ll take him, we only have 11 linebackers currently on the roster, but we need to replace odell.

Okay, this contradicts my usual position, but being charged with “rioting” sounds kinda cool. Yes, it’s a crime. Yes, it’s wrong. But, way better than being charged with DUI or leaving the scene or an accident or even normal battery and resisting arrest.

Since the team drafted him even though he had this pending, the team should be the recipient of a fine as well.

The TURDS are trashing the NFL just like they did the NBA. It’s history repeating itself.
The NFL looking like a septic tank overflowing with TURDS and with tickets prices going through the roof, the NFL is headed in the wrong direction and it’s going to catch up with them.
