NR4 (NotRelevant4):

"an obvious Dungy loving Gruden hater. My suggestion; move to Indy where you can kiss Dungy’s black azz all day and night. Thank you."

Your wording indicates this is as close to a racial slur as you think you can get away with. I have no love for Dungy; I can't stand Gruden - so your half a$$ed comment is 1/2 right. I'm sick of "One and done" or "none and done" Gruden and his "boy genius Tampa Bay ineffective offense" that is everything but OFFENSIVE. Defensive scores won a lot of games the Super Bowl year, points the "vaunted Tampa Bay offense" can't do with out as they've proved every season since.

"You obviously know nothing about the scoring of turd watch. At least read the rules before you run your fat mouth. You’re just a visiting gnat here. So unless you have something intelligent to say, stay off the boards son."

Intelligent analysis of your sophomoric comment indicates it was spoken like a true Gruden lover with his blinders on and his head up his "4th point of contact". Yet another Tampa Bay "goober" they're always talking about on the radio that thinks the Bucs and Gruden can do no wrong no matter what bull$pit they decide to pull or lies they decide to tell.

Pittman the former "resident wife beater" is gone, so was Stevens. Now the "turd" that is Jeremy Stevens is back in the Bucs fold, nestled up on the pile with the two top "turds" Allen and Gruden.

"Ignorant" and "racist" are the two word that immediately came to mind while reading the drivel you tried to pass off as a contribution to this forum.

Grulk, I didn't argue the reason he gave the Eagles points. All I said is the system is flawed. Case in point, A team will get turd points for drafting a player after they got arrested, but a team doesn't get points after signing a player after they been arrested?(Cowboys). The system is flawed.

Cowgirl, Doing great? How? I'll give them some credit for reaching the playoffs the past 2 years and having the record they had last year. But doing great? NO, you need to win playoff games to be considered great. The Eagles past their prime? They are 1 year removed from the playoffs, so you're able to judge that they're past their prime in 1 year. You're an idiot, and I'm not venting, I'm stating facts. The Cowgirls have done nothing to prove to me that they're better than the Eagles with a healthy McNabb. Here are the position matchups.

QB - Eagles (Romo needs to prove he can play good under pressure)
RB - Eagles
FB - Cowboys (pretty much useless position)
WR - Cowboys
TE - Cowboys
OL - Eagles
DL - Eagles
LB - Cowboys
DB - Eagles
ST - Eagles
Coaches - Eagles

"So you’re saying that Jack Ikegwuono is always going to be a crimninal and Donovan McNabb is always going to be the biggest emo choker the NFL has ever seen?"

"“Michael Irvin, Nate Newton, Leon Lett, and Pacman Jones are all in a car together, who’s driving?”

Hopefully not Mike Patterson."

First, love that quote thing - so forceful. Second, what's with your fixation on the Philadelphia Eagles? Could it be that you are yet another member of Fraud Nation? I get a strong vibe that you live somewhere in or near Philadelphia but pretend like you are from Dallas for your football team. Am I right? Otherwise, why would someone from Dallas get worked up so much about Philadelphia?

Finally, interesting choice with your car joke. Once again, for some reason you feel the need to hate on Philadelphia. So it appears you would feel much safer at the wheel with either a gun-wielding cocaine abuser, a morbidly obese felony drug smuggler, a mentally challenged drug abuser, and Pacman Jones (no further description necessary) over the Philadelphia player who I believe was arrested for a misdemeanor pot possesion? Sounds like smart move to me - hope you have health insurance.

Sportsbum you know that your team is full of crap players now(with a few exeptions) and you are looking for some way to vent your anger because the Eagles chance to win a superbowl is come and gone. They blew it and you know it. Donovan McHurtalot is a Hasbeen that is past his prime and the eagles are defenitly not going to the superbowl again with him. With all respect to Andy Reid though, he is a good coach and a good man and as long as the eagles have him they still have a chance(After some major rebuilding of the team is done though). Lets face it though sportsbum you and I both know that the eagles are past their prime and that the Cowboys are doing great once again so why don't you shut up and enjoy the ride of watching the cowboys do great things(like winning the SuperBowl).

Hey Cowgirlsmitty9! The Eagles are filled with hasbeens and wannabees huh? You talk about our QB, but what has your QB Tony Homo done besides blow your teams playoff games. Your team can't even win a playoff game. They won the division 1 time, only been to the playoffs 3 times and still hasn't won a playoff game since 2000. The Eagles been to the playoffs 6 times, won the division 5 times, been to the NFC Championship 4 times, and have been to the Superbowl. Not to mention we won our last 3 games of last season, including shutting down your Cowboys in Dallas. So if the Eagles is full of hasbeens and wannabes, the Cowboys are alot worse. And if McNabb does stay healthy, you can say goodbye to the Cowgirls winning the division or going anywhere in the playoffs.

Turd Watch points are retarded, and so is Florio for coming up with a system that charges people for crimes they haven't even been convicted of.

Mike Patterson getting 12 pts for what is ultimately a misdemeanor careless driving conviction, while the Cowboys have 0 points after landing 2 of the biggest turds in the league in Pacman and Tank? How f'n retarded.

It's a good thing that this stupid, idiotic system only matters on this website. The rest of the world is smart enough to understand that Dallas has always been and always will be a Turd Ranch.

The typical over-reaction by the Cowboy fans (most of whom are pretending frauds) bores me. For some reason, they seem to feel better about themselves when they bash the team from the town where are from while glorifying the Mecca of Frauds, Dallas. Pathetic at best. As far as this issue is concerned, lets all appluad the Turd Herder himself, Jerruh Jones simply because his collection of high character guys haven't broken any laws yet. As a wise man once said, "if walks like a rat and smells like a rat, then by golly it must be a rat!" Don't kid yourself, people don't change. Hear me now and believe me later.

"What did the Pack do?! And where can we find out how these points are calculated?"

Nick Barnett pled no contest to misdemeanor disorderly conduct in March.

http://www.profootballtalk.com/turd-watch/

The scoring system is simple. Seven points for a felony arrest, and seven for a conviction. Three points for a misdemeanor arrest, and three more for a conviction. If there are multiple charges, the points will stack.

For the purposes of the Turd Watch II scoring, a conviction includes a guilty plea, a plea of no contest, and the entry into a diversion program.

However, if the team cuts the player (or fires the employee) within seven days after an arrest, the points will be removed.

The Eagles should get 20 points for having dumb fans. It's real simple, lowbrows...

Mike Patterson was arrested and charged with three crimes. Misdemeanor marijuana possession, driving while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and careless driving: likely to endager a person. He was convicted of the "careless driving: likely to endager a person" charge. Three points for each charge, plus three for the conviction equals 12 points. The Eagles drafted Jack Ikegwuono with pending charges so they get the turd points for one felony charge of residential burglary (7 points) and one misdemeanor charge of criminal trespass (3). 10 points total.

12+10=22. You don't have to like it, but you do have to learn to live with it because it works the same way for every team.

It's not about control. It's about making smart choices. Not surprised that you don't get it.

an obvious Dungy loving Gruden hater. My suggestion; move to Indy where you can kiss Dungy's black azz all day and night. Thank you.

You obviously know nothing about the scoring of turd watch. At least read the rules before you run your fat mouth. You're just a visiting gnat here. So unless you have something intelligent to say, stay off the boards son.

SportsBum,
Did you even bother to read the TurdWatch page???

If a team drafts a player AFTER they've been arrested, then they get points. The reason being that the team should know better than to draft a "troublemaker" and they did it anyhow.

Same thing with free agents. If Shawn Alexander gets arrested tomorrow, and then a team signs him, that team gets the point. Since you are a complete idiot, who doesn't bother to learn to rules, and just bitches instead, I vote you get 457,000 turd points for wasting my time explaining it to you, nimrod.

I agree TRomo the eagles seem to think that there team is Gods gift to the NFL because they have a Donovan McHurtalot as Qb who is now a hasbeen and that they have had a movie made after a former player of their team Vince Papolli. The Eagles need to take a reality check and relize that they have never won a superbowl and are never going to win one.

How do the Eagles have 22 points and Dalls not have any? To say it's about arrest than, How you gonna add points for Ikegwuonu, but not for Pacman? To say that Pacmans arrest happened on another team, well so did Ikegwuonu. To say that Ikegwuonu's case is still pending, so is Pacmans reinstatement into the NFL.
I don't care that the Eagles have 22 points. If that is how you based your points. But to not give the Cowboys points shows that the system is flawed.
Mike Florio, I have respect for you because of your football knowledge, and I think you put together one hell of a site. But this system is flawed and you need to fix it.

Oh poor maddenchamp are you all sad because youre eagles have 22 points. You need to SUCK IT UP. The Eagles are full of hasbeens and wannabes and you know it so you just want to get some attention brought back to the eagles. You can yell and scream all you want at Florio but he's not gonna change anything. I bet its just killing you to see T.O.'s great behaviour and to see that we have Tank Johnson and Adam Jones and we still have 0 turd watch points. I bet right now you want to blame it on favortism towords teams but you cant because you know that Florio hates the Cowboys so that blows that thought out of the water so the only thing you have left to do is accept the 22 points and shut up.
P.S. Who knows maybe this year you eagle sissys will get a break and your precious hasbeen Donovan McHurtalot will stay healthy for atleast a quarter of the season.

The reason the Turd Watch gives so many points for simply arrests and not so much convictions -as was explained when it started- is that the arrests and charges are what really get the big press and causes bad PR, regardless of whether the player ends up being acquitted.

The Eagles are turd organization, 3rd place is a conservative estimate.

The Cowboys have a lot of haters on the internets but look at the scoreboard. 0 points so far this year, and 0 last year.

You have to applaud what Jerry Jones has done to clean up the league. If only other organizations would take his lead, we would have less McDonald's wrapper incidents, less Xbox theft, less nude drive-thru orders and lastly, less heroin smuggling in the rectum (Reid boys).

To maddenchump, bgman, and fanball:

Go back and re-read how the points are assessed:

Points are assessed for an arrest, and then more points assessed for a conviction. This includes pending charges (learn how the legal system works). The points are assessed to whatever team the player is CURRENTLY a member of.

It's completely ridiculous for people saying that Dallas and the Bucs (or any other team) should acrue points because someone was previously charged or convicted of a crime. That makes as much sense as saying that since Asante Samuel won a ring with the Pats, and he now signed with the Eagles, the Eagles should get credit for winning a Super Bowl.

For those suggesting that the Dallas community "takes care of its players", that's just ignorant. There is a reason Dallas players don't get into trouble. I'll give you a hint, it's not the law looking the other way, it's the structure the Cowboys front office has set up, and the mentality in the locker room that has players looking out for each other.

I suggest you take off your rose colored glasses and deal with the fact that hating on the Cowboys won't make your team any better or make them any less criminal.

And if you can't, then at least take solace in the fact that having a locker room full of guys who have managed to stay out of trouble sure as hell hasn't helped Dallas win any playoff games. So really, what does it matter?

For those suggesting that the Dallas community “takes care of its players”, that’s just ignorant. There is a reason Dallas players don’t get into trouble. I’ll give you a hint, it’s not the law looking the other way, it’s the structure the Cowboys front office has set up, and the mentality in the locker room that has players looking out for each other.

I suggest you take off your rose colored glasses and deal with the fact that hating on the Cowboys won’t make your team any better or make them any less criminal.

And if you can’t, then at least take solace in the fact that having a locker room full of guys who have managed to stay out of trouble sure as hell hasn’t helped Dallas win any playoff games. So really, what does it matter?

Does JJ have better control of his players…or old fashioned control of the media and police?

Are you seriously implying that Cowboys players get in trouble and Jerry Jones is able to keep a lid on it? You're an idiot.

Just another case of a Cowboy hater that really has nothing bad to say about them and is just looking for something to say. Pathetic.

Oh no! An Eagles fan whining?!? O_O I'm shocked.

The Turd Watch system does not rely on the notion of "Innocent until proven guilty." It is merely a way to keep track of charges and convictions against NFL players.

As for this being a black mark on a player's record, I'm sure the NFL teams keep track of these things themselves and, if not, would likely find out about any indiscretions before signing or trading for a player. If a players is blacklisted, he most likely did it to himself.

Poacher1 that is very true. I can remember that from my youth because my dad is sick cowgirls fan. But,just imagine if that had been today. Dallas wouldve had a million points before they couldve gotten through the trials.

I watched a Judge Joe Brown the other day where a COP sued someone he pulled over for slander and ruining his chances at a better job in the future, and you know how he did it, because after the cop pulled him over he went and filed a b.s. report with internal affairs, who later foundthe cop not guilty, but all over that one report, it will stain his record and ruin his chances at raises or promotions. While the PFT turd watch doesnt have that kind of movement, it still stains a persons pride/name to be hit with any type of judgement before a JUDGE judges them! All it takes is one a hole making an accusation at someone and bam, they're blacklisted and they're employer is blacklisted without somuch as a fair trial. RE-DO THE POINTS SYSTEM TO THIS IDIOTIC TURD WATCH! Then you'll see, the only ones complaining will be fans of teams who really do field criminals~

Im calling for an overhaul of this supposed points system. If you can add points for pending charges, and not just for things they've been found guilty of is irrisponsible and wrong. Whats that saying about the system, arent you a lawyer FLORIO? How can you justify this? Im not even just talking for Eagles fans, i emplore other teams fans to check your points and teams standing because this turd watch is flawed! I heard Peyton Manning didnt scoop up his dogs crap from the park, he might get a fine in a few weeks, lets hit them with points just because i made an accusation! Absolutley rediculous, i hope your ready for a ish storm from unhappy eagles fans MIKE!

How can points be added for pending criminal charges? Jack Ikeguono has 2 PENDING charges, yet the Eagles have been hit with those points????WTF Is that? What happened to innocent until proven guilty? Its how American Justice works. How can the eagles be given 22 points for a pot bust that was overturned because it was pattersons brothers, and for a rookie cb that has pending charges? If thats how things work, lets give the cowboys 20 points for things pacman could do in he future, and lets give the Bills 25 cause James Hardy's most likely gonna get in trouble in his career. Tampa got no new points for Jeremy Stevens? Yet, therethe Eagles sit at 3rd with 22 phantom points. Im going to the Eagles message boards to start a riot over here, I give FLORIO 25 Points in the turd watch for this! I hope young Florio never gets in law trouble, but, since there's a chance he might during his teen years, lets get the court to give Florio a few fines in advance, just in case he gets in trouble and MIGHT be found guilty. This is garbage, im enraged over this embarrasment to one of te cleanest franchises in the league! They wouldnt have drafted Ikeguono unless they were sure he was gonna be cleared of all wrong doing. YOU GOT THIS WRONG MAN, CHANGE IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!INNOENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. What happens when the COP who is PFT's biggestfan sees an opposing teams player driving and harrases him just because thats all it takes for Florio to slap on turd ponts! You cant say cops dont abuse their power, and if i was a cop ad had nothing better to do, and i had the chance to give T.O. a ticket for some bogus charge just so it would reflect badly on te cowgirls i would do it, so why woulnt a real cop who is a football nut. I know it's P.C. to say that wouldnt happen, but to say it couldnt happen is moronic. Look what has happened since the turd watch started, now teams are getting in trouble when their players do. Why would it be such a far cry to imagine a zealous cop screwing over his most hated rivals players for no other joy then to know he can do it and it will look bad for them. This is not the end of this ranting on my part until those standings are changed!

Why are the Bucs not on this list with at least 10 points? How can the re-signing of Jeremy "the Rapist" Stevens not be considered a "Turd" move?

The Bucs should get 10 point "Turd" bonus' for the "Turd" GM Bruce Allen even considering this move and 10 more for John Gruden wanting this "Turd" on the team. Just when we finally rid of our "resident wife beater" Michael Pittman, now with the Denver Donkeys, many fans in Tampa Bay are wondering what the Bucs were thinking even going near this "Turd" Stevens? This one "Turd" is not going to make a difference in the "vaunted Tampa Bay Offense" which hasn't shown up since the Super Bowl win.

Since the signing, all Stevens, Allen and Gruden have been roasted in the print, radio and TV media locally. There have been reports that season ticket holders are dropping the Bucs left an right BECAUSE they re-signed Stevens.

Wake up Florio and smell the triple stink - we have a "Turd pile" down here in Tampa - the GM, the Head Coach and the Rapist Tight End.

I think the Cowboys prove there's a flaw is basing a team's character by by number of arrests (or turd points).

How to the Cowboys bring in a bunch of thugs and not have any arrests and teams like the Bengals have multiple players with arrests? I think a lot has to do with the area's treatment of star athletes for the local teams.

Some areas may a zero tolerance for sports stars who think they're above the law and the local residents appreciate that the police keep order; some areas have police forces that either sweep things under the rug or the individual police officers don't want to be vilified for being the ones who arrest someone (especially if the arrest impacts the team's ability to win).

So a player for the Bengals may get a DUI with a .09 on a Cincinnati freeway, but the same guy, if he played for the Cowboys, may just be asked for his autograph and wished good luck in next week's game if he is pulled over for speeding and running a red light with a .16.

The Bengals are only in 12th. They really need to pick it up. Hopefully Shirley can help along that front line.

How do the Eagles have 22 points. I used to like the turd watch, but it seems as though it was skewed to include more teams. IDK how on earth the birds got 22. Patterson was exxonerated on the pot charge, ikeguono has trial pending? The eagles are the class act of the NFL when it comes to behaved players on and off the field. Its an embarrasment to be third in standings when there hasnt really been one incident that even made the news. Maybe we'd be better off having our recievers get drunk and emasculated in Vegas. Or how about Pacmans points carry over to the cowboys. I guess when your team is ran the right way people will eventually start looking for any way possible to include you with the trash of the league so everyone doent feel singled out! Its a joke, THIS IS THE FIRST BAD THING I HAVE EVER SAID IN REGARDS TO PFT.COM! Any other Eagles fan who sees this will undoubtedly say the same. I want a show of how those 22 points were accrued, and get a life. The fact that we're mentioned anywhere near the broncos or Lions or Titans is a joke. Go head' other teams fans, give me your best Eagles slams, but theres no way anyone can say that the Eagles have player misconduct comparable to other teams, because that would be false. We are one of the top 3 -4 operated organizations in pro football, and pro sports for that matter.

Other teams besides the Bengals taking risk on character players? Your joking right? What next, arrests?
