Here’s a weird twist to a recent story that helped fill the vacuum in the sssslow portion of the offseason.

The woman who was with former Dolphins receiver Marcus Vick when he was arrested for DUI and other alleged crimes had apparently sued Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown earlier this year.

Delicia Cordon is listed as the plaintiff in an action against Ronnie Brown in a Miami-Dade County civil/family/probate action filed on April 14, 2008.  The reader who sent us the link to the case docket tells us that it’s the same Delicia Cordon who was with Vick and the same Ronnie Brown who plays for the Dolphins.

Obviously, however, there’s a chance that it’s a different Delicia Cordon.  And a different Ronnie Brown.

An effort by Cordon to obtain a permanent injunction against Brown was dismissed on June 16, after she failed to appear for a hearing that same day, possibly because she was arrested for public intoxication a few days earlier in Virginia, at the same time Vick was arrested.

The specifics of the claims made by Cordon against Brown are unclear, but given that the case commenced with a temporary injunction being entered against Brown it appears to be similar to the procedure that was used against Randy Moss earlier this year by a female acquaintance of his in Florida.
