The Buffalo Bills have signed their third 2008 draft pick. The latest to agree to terms is Derek Fine.
Fine, a tight end, is a fourth-round selection from Kansas. He was the 132nd overall choice in the draft.
With the Jayhawks in 2007, Fine set a school record for receptions by a tight end, with 98. He gained 1,009 yards and scored ten touchdowns.
(Our policy on posting blurbs about draft picks agreeing to terms is that we don’t aspire to do a separate post for every single guy who signs. Many factors drive the analysis, including the round of the selection, whether anything else is happening at the time, whether we’re spoon-fed the information via an e-mail from a team’s P.R. department, and/or whether I feel like taking five minutes away from other valuable endeavors — NHL ‘08 for the Xbox 360 kicks ass, by the way.)

I’m sure the opportunity for a “punny” headline also factors into the equasion!

Fine Says Fine to Bills is good, but you should have thrown in the Lynch twist about accepting a fine for his hit and run. Maybe it is OK if you only hit a Canadian and drive off.
By the way, NHL 08 on the 360 is incredible.

XBox 360 is a garbage system, however nhl 08 for playstation does kick @$$.
derek fine may not even make the team oddly enough b/c buffalo probably wont bring 4 guys out of camp and right now he’s #4 or 5 depending on who you ask. He’ll probably beat out massaquoi for one of the 8 PS spots based on his “zone-vision” & all-around special teams prowess BUT Robert Royal is a very solid blocking TE who usually catches pretty well and Derek Schouman may beat him out for the #1 if he keeps on improving by leaps & bounds like he’s reportedly been doing this spring (running better routes & much improved strength). Also courtney anderson has done well this offseason, it looks like he’ll be the bills #3te & #1RZ option b/c of his height and soft hands, if his blocking ability matches his reported willingness to do so the bills may actually end up being fairly deep @the position. Having good depth and all is Fine & dandy but unfortunately they wont have any standouts, noone whom a defense will fear except maybe courtney on lobs to the back of the end zone & thats only b/c buffalo has James Hardy, making it hard for teams to properly cover two 6′6″ dudes in the end zone.

Funny….Playstation 3 is currently sitting dead last in worldwide sales, behind a kids’ toy and a garbage system….
