The Buffalo Bills have announced that offensive lineman Brad Butler has agreed to terms on a contract extension.
Terms weren’t disclosed by the team.
Butler is a two-year veteran. He was a fifth-round pick in the 2006 draft.
He was due to earn salaries of $445,000 and $530,000 in 2008 and 2009, respectively.
UPDATE: Butler’s arsenal of moves hopefully no longer includes the following.

Well deserved, he’s a long n orney dude. he’s real smart too, can play either tackle position in a pinch and he finishes his blocks extremely well, he’s also quickly building up the strength to match his nasty streak, glad to have him on board for the long-term & i cannot wait to see what the future holds in store for him, he should be a beast in the upcoming years.

He’s one of the better young guards in the league, but I lost all respect for this guy after that cheap shot he threw in that Boston College game back at UVA.

For those bemoaning Butler as the worst guy ever, realize you’re not seeing the full context of the incident. I do not condone the hit, it was out of line. However, “Kiwi” was not some poor, completely innocent victim. He had been dishing out cheapshots against Virginia players like Halloween candy the entire game. He was due for his comeuppance However, Butler went about it the wrong way - he should not have dragged himself down to “Kiwi’s” level.

Butler is a POS, like the guy who took the cheapshot on Jim Sorgi. Players like that should not be in the league.
