Former Giants defensive end Michael Strahan recently revealed his desire to do more in television than talk about football.
He’s already getting a start in that direction.
Via Chris Littman of The Sporting Blog (an online venture of our good friends at Sporting News), the Newark Star-Ledger reports that Strahan was in California last week to film a cameo for the NBC series Chuck.
Strahan plays the manager of a sporting goods store in the mall where the lead character works.
“When the cameras rolled, Michael was really, really funny,” Josh Schwartz, the show’s creator and executive producer told the Star-Ledger. “Everyone on the set was completely blown away. Broadcasting or acting, he’s got a future.”
Strahan might even end up reprising his role in the future. “After everyone saw him, they were like, ‘Well, maybe we should get [Strahan] back here,’ ” Schwartz said.
Maybe it will eventually lead Strahan to land an NBC show of his own. Hell, we can already picture Strahan and Rich “Big Daddy” Salgado pitching ideas to Russell Dalrymple and crew. (Hopefully, Big Daddy can track down his script of La Cocina.)
Meanwhile, allow us to present Taco Bill’s vision of Strahan’s potential career in film.

For all you potential PLAYA HATAINS that are about to leave a stupid comment about football players sticking to football and blah blah blah….please remember that some pepole are just overal TALENTED. Just b/c your not athletic and you can’t act or entertain, doesn’t mean that there are people out there that are very capable of doing both.
Plus just like many of you said about Imus. If you don’t like it…don’t watch

Nice pic.
I think Strahan will do well in his post football career. He has always handled himself like a professional and every interview I’ve ever seen him on he is very articulate and smart.
Unlike some football players (ocho cinco).

I have to admit Florio, I like it when you spice up an otherwise dull item with a random Seinfeld reference.

Umm… what? They’re the most PC because they have to be; they’re the most watched.

The only people who watch the Lunatic Fringe Lib Networks are PC Neanderthals. Thankfully, there’s cable so you don’t have to subject yourself to the PC garbage they show.

most cable sucks anyway. not just the old line networks. but they … uh… lead the way.
Who says Strahan can act or entertain? That has yet to be determined. Contracts for media arent usually handed out on the basis of things like talent to inform or sincerely entertain. Witness… Emmitt.
