The bad news for Ray Lewis is that he has a legal entanglement related to this year’s Super Bowl.

The good news is that it’s nowhere near as serious a matter as the legal entanglement he had related to the 2000 Super Bowl.

Eight years ago, Lewis was charged with murder and later pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice. This time he’s just getting sued by a company that says he owes money for services rendered at a Super Bowl party.

TMZ.com is reporting that Professional Events, LLC, an Arizona-based company that Lewis hired for a Super Bowl party, is suing Lewis, claiming he never paid for hostesses he hired. The company says it was promised several times that Lewis would pay $5,780 for the services of the hostesses, but that he never did.

Lewis, who has for the most part succeeded in cultivating a clean image since the 2000 Super Bowl, has not commented on this lawsuit.
