The Lions selected former Colorado linebacker Jordon Dizon in the second round of the 2008 draft.
Six days before his name was called, Dizon was arrested.
According to the Boulder Daily Camera, via the Detroit Free Press, Dizon was busted on April 20 for suspicion of drunk driving, driving the wrong way down a one-way street, and failure to provide proof of insurance.
“I was very polite to the officer,” Dizon told the Camera. “I did everything he asked me to and I acted like a man. It’s a bad situation and I’m sorry that it happened.”
It’s unclear whether the Lions knew that Dizon had been arrested. Given their history, we’ll assume that they did not.
But assumptions are often wrong. The Free Press, for example, assumes that Dizon won’t be subject to any punishment from the NFL because the arrest occurred before he was drafted. That’s not accurate, as Bengals defensive end Frostee Rucker learned a year ago, when he was disciplined after pleading guilty to a charge that predated the 2006 draft.

Loser, there are ways to get out of a ticket. Even if your not a girl, for some officers it doesn’t matter. Just close your eyes and image something else.

Let’s see if all the Bengals haters crawl out of their holes and slam some of these other teams for doing the EXACT SAME THING as the Bengals have….signing players for talent, not moral character. Cincinnati is starting to look like choir boys with the way the rest of the NFL is going. Let’s see if Goodell is as strict with these guys as he was with Bengals players. If “Pacman” is eligible to play this season, the obvious answer is that Goodell is playing favorites.

“What is it with over-sensitive Bungles fans on this site? Get over yourselves. ”
If you’re seriously asking that question, then you must be new. Several times they have pointed out that they are not the only ones drafting known turds. The response here has repeatedly been “yes you are.” Now they are pointing out the specific times when other teams do. That is “what is with” them.
But I suspect that you are not seriously asking a question and instead are just lamely trying to insult them.

How else could Millen justify drafting a non-WR?
