The Las Vegas television station KVBC is reporting that an arrest has been made in the robbery and beating of Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker.
The Associated Press quotes a Las Vegas police officer as saying one man was charged with multiple felonies including kidnapping and robbery. Police are looking for a second suspect.
Walker was found unconscious early in the morning on June 16 near the Las Vegas Strip. He said he had been beaten at the door of his hotel room and dragged outside, but security camera footage reportedly provided evidence to refute that claim.
Walker was treated at a Las Vegas hospital for a concussion and facial injuries. He said he was robbed of $3,000 in cash and $100,000 in jewelry.

I doubted Walker’s story. If it was true, I was wrong with alot of people as well.

I just wonder if Javon’s short-sighted arrogance has been arrested through this whole ordeal. Probably not.

Javon Walker … another FINE American represented by punk-ass Drew RosenPuke … is it any surprise that a guy who would RUN ROUND with Drew “hey big boy, will you pick up that soap off the shower floor for me” RosenPuke would wind-up beaten senseless and left in the gutter?

While I may be a hypocrite in that Walker should not have placed himself in that situation (not that I have ever sprayed expensive champagne), I am pleased that the police placed someone under arrest.
Sincerely,
Imus

as i continue to ask, what was javon covering up?
if it were some random guys that kidnapped him, he would have turned them over to the police and not given a fake story.
if he knew the guys where tied into organized crime, he would have incentive to lie and not give them up, for fear of retaliation.
since this is a rumor sight, this is my speculation and only plausible reason at this point. until further details…

There sure is a lot of animosity towards Javon out there. Here are the facts as I see it. He is known to cry about money, but has produced when not injured. He got kidnapped, knocked out, and robbed. the police have found one of the primary suspects. He is fine save his ego from being punked in vegas. He is little heavy according to Lane Kiffen, but he will be in training camp.
All that animosity must be coming from he got what he wanted: a fat pay day and a no. 1 reciever spot. All this hate towards him will not stop him from slapping the hell out of Denver on MNF. Shanahan is going to regret trashing him during ufa. Shanahan thought he had a no.1 in Brandon Marshall until he got thrown into that tv and is now wearing a cast unable to work out with the team. Shananigans bet on the wrong guy again, the screw up, and Denver is worse off for it.
bottom line quit hating on Javon Denver fans.

I don’t know what it is about the comments section of this site but it attracts some of the lowest forms of life and worst comments I’ve ever seen on any website. PhillyRocks-TO-NotSoMuch you actually want physical harm to come to someone you’ve never met? You hate that Javon Walker was spraying champagne on people in Vegas? What are you? 85? What do you think happens at clubs & parties all over Vegas and the rest of the country? I think 90% of the people commenting here are a couple years away from being able to collect Social Security benefits given the general disconnect and abject ‘horror’ that most of you seem to feel when you hear that *gasp* someone was out past 2 A.M. in Vegas…and *double gasp* a party actually got wild!

Ya, Javon got “dragged through the casino” so he could be robbed on the streets of Las Vegas … ya, he’s “an innocent man” here.
..
Listen up, Drew RosenPuke … er, I mean “Accipter”, “Dick V”, whatever you or your kid bro are going by as you troll here or at red shirt freshmen practices at Div II schools … it’s not OK that PUNK Javon was spraying all those people … it’s also a CERTAINTY that that kind of thing would just be the tip of the iceberg, the thing that gets reported on — while the rest of the CHRIS HENRY-like behavior goes unreported behind the scenes.

If the types of dudes who do this found him once…they could find him again.
Javon is the same guy who rather than attend his “friend” Darrent Williams funeral, he hid out in Las Vegas.
The guys who shot up the Limo that they were notorious killers and are connected to 11 open murder cases in Denver. One of the gang leaders is behind bars after a witness in his case turned up with a bullett in her head.

I reported most of PhillyRocksTO-NotSoMuch comments as inapproriate because his attacks on other posters are needlessly personal, completely off base, lacking in any kind of substance, too much profanity, overuse of sexual innuendo without any sort of context being applied and for being generally a lousy human being. PhillyRocks-TO-NotSoMuch I know it must suck to have to ride the short bus to school every day but this forum is for grown up discussion of what is posted in profootballtalk by Florio. You need to understand and act in a fashion that reflects that or LEAVE!

Hey Philly,
Your post blasting Javon as a Rosenhaus client is completely worthless. Rosenhaus is not Javon Walker’s agent, the name of his agent is Kennard McGuire. Look back at some of the stories from when he got jacked in Vegas and it is in there. We may never know the full truth of what happened to Javon that night in Vegas, but if the cops felt there was enough evidence to arrest someone and charge them with a mess of felonies, he was obviously the victim of some crime. While he was dumb to be out acting the fool, he didn’t deserve to get jacked. Oh and by the way Philly, the Eagles have sucked since TO left, and if he had stayed you’d probably still be in love with him. Now the best you can hope for is someone who might be better than Todd Stinkston…err… Pinkston. Considering you couldn’t even check to make sure Rosenhaus was Javon’s agent, I think when it comes to this topic it is time for you to move on, or move out.

Paraplegic_Ditka,
that’s what i was getting at. there is a serious gang element in las vegas. rumor is that they used a girl to lure him into a car where he was then robbed. he probably got beat up because he resisted and none of this has to do with spraying champagne. so far, that is all media speculation.
when i heard his obviously fake statement on what happened, i immediately felt that javon got taken down by a gang and is cutting his losses with the false story.
that’s what i think happened at this point

javon reportedly goes to vegas twice a week in the offseason. i think one of his good friends is a bartender.
so, he would be easy to find. not only that, he doesn’t run with a crew, so he’s an easy target if someone wanted to do something

scorpion and brant,
congrats on acknowledging philly for the low-life that he apparently is!! What was up with his/her “whatever you or your kid bro…trolling here or at red-shirt freshman practices at
Division II schools”???????? HUH? WTF is that? Could he/she (he-she?) have a wider scatter gun available? What’s the beef with D2 Athletes? Participating in college sports at ANY level is an accomplishment…..and I bet the D2 athletes are attending their classes too!! I too will be reporting his/her comments as inappropriate.

It’s a sad day when your allegiance to your sports team is more important than the safety and health of another human being.
Maybe a lot of you have never been to Vegas, but guess what, people go to Vegas to party. In fact, so many people do, they don’t ever close bars or quit serving booze. IMO Javon should have been in Oakland preparing for OTA’s and training camp rather than partying in Vegas. That doesn’t mean he deserves to get beaten and robbed. Read the updated reports, Javon got into their car because he had been partying with them during the night/morning of the robbery and felt comfortable.
Right or wrong, I am not afraid to admit that while partying in my 20’s that I met people at parties and then traveled with them to the next bar or party. Fortunately, nobody wanted to beat me and steal my belongings. Too much alcohol impairs your good judgement and unfortunately they were people he shouldn’t have trusted. It’s a mistake I am sure he’s embarrased by.
Hopefully it doesn’t take Javon 3 strikes to learn a lesson. He’s a gifted athlete but has had two close calls already. Let’s hope he doesn’t make a third mistake in judgement.
Please quit your hatin’ because he is a Raider or doesn’t play for your team. The man was robbed and beaten. If it happened to you, wouldn’t you hope for some support.
