To the surprise of no one (save for the 10 percent of folks who responded to our current poll in the affirmative), Raiders receiver Javon Walker’s version of the events culminating in the taking of an involuntary nap on a Las Vegas street has been contradicted by surveillance video.
According to Norm Clarke of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, police have video of Walker getting into a car under his own power, and that he is not being coerced.
Walker was found at 7:30 a.m. local time, unconscious in a pool of blood. He had left the Body English night club at 3:00 a.m. after a night of spraying champagne (and, presumably, drinking hose water).

I can’t believe Walker has become a problem and a distraction.
I can only assume that Denver and Green Bay are just as surprised as the rest of us.
And what a moron. I can’t imagine a hotel that isn’t a Holiday Inn you could drag an unconscious person out of.

They say “if you got it, flaunt it.” Unfortunately, those who don’t have it and want it, have ways of just taking it.
He seemed to remember a lot about his account of what happened considering he was found unconscious.

I still can’t believe that this guy thought some b.s. story would fly, in Vegas of all places, where EVERYBODY knows that there are cameras everywhere.

He owes someone a lot of money…that the only explanation on this one. No one gets cracked like that and has nothing to say.
1:1 bet that he owes money from gambling
2:5 bet that he was betting on sports
10:1 bet that he was betting on football
No way a guy of his talent is thrown from team to team unless he’s doing **** that he shouldn’t be. This behavior reminds me of David Boston (ex Cardinal) - the Cards let him go for almost nothing and we saw no signs of problems (fans)….the Cardinals did and let him go to San Diego - where he self destructed living next to Mexico. There’s too many similarities.
Walker is on the wrong path, knows it…and could care less.
Oakland - nice pick up…..maybe Madden will add some extra points on 2008 Madden so they look decent on the video game version…because this season they’re gonna SUCK!

I assume all the people who called out Florio will be pretty quiet.
As for Walker, no surprise. I read thug being thrown around but I just question his intelligence. Whines in GB after one good season, needs more money. Excuses come out. Whines in DEN about not being the man, disrespected. Then people make excuses for him. Gets F’d in the A in Vegas and lies about what happened. More excuses.
Sorry but he doesn’t seem to be a very intelligent individual.

Doing a little googling, I see it stated that Walker scored a 7 on his Wonderlic. Is there any way to find out for sure? Of course, using the Forrest Gump standard of “stupid is as stupid does”, I think we can pretty much just assign a Wonderlic score to him. And it would be in the 5-10 range.

Yet another outstanding investment by Al Davis.
You’d think after watching his teammate get murdered right beside him the guy might have straighten up a bit.

Look it up, Walker was previously sued in GB for defaulting on a real estate deal, he way lying then and he is lying again.
Just because he had one good season in the NFL doesn’t mean that the guy isn’t morally bankrupt, a lying piece of dog doo, and an unsavory character that I wouldn’t want on my football team. But its rich that Al Davis thinks otherwise.

Both Al Davis and Arthur Blank should sell their teams. They’re terrible owners and their teams aren’t going anywhere with them leading the charge.
The Raiders look like they’re gonna be this year’s Miami, and I’d be shocked if the Falcons win 3 games. They can keep firing coaches and talent evaluators all they want, its ultimately their faults.
If the Cowboys implode this year I’ll blame Mr Jones for all the controversial pick-ups he’s been making over the last few years. I have a sinking feeling that if they start 2 - 3 or worse the wheels will come off for a meltdown of unseen proportions…

Thanks a bunch, PackAttack. I just wet myself and spit coffee all over my monitor, heh. Javon just strikes me as the kind of person who refuses to learn anything from his past indiscretions. Borrowing from a famous statement, if he can’t learn from his history, he is doomed to repeat it.
