Apparently, the road to Tinsletown doesn’t pass through Titletown.

Despite reports that the Green Bay Packers are interested in Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Taylor isn’t interested in playing such a small market.

“I don’t see it happening,” a source close to Taylor (presumably, agent Gary Wichard) told Greg Bedard of it Journal-Sentinel.

Taylor, per Bedard, is believed to be interested in the Cowboys, Patriots, Chargers, Eagles, Jaguars, and as many of seven others.  The primary factors are market size and likelihood of playing deep into January.

So why not the Packers?  If Aaron Rodgers can stay healthy, the Pack could be right back in the thick of things.  And even though Green Bay isn’t L.A. (and we assume that most residents of Green Bay like it that way), the Packers are one of the most storied franchises in all of sport.

But Taylor supposedly doesn’t have much faith in Rodgers.  “He’s been through that quarterback thing before,” the source told Bedard.  “He doesn’t want to go through it again.  Maybe if Favre was still there, but even that wouldn’t be a given.”

Meanwhile, Taylor can forget about his first Hollywood outing cranking out tons of box-office beef in the land of cheese.
