The rims are valued at $6,000.
Hey, at least he didn’t get knocked unconscious by gunmen and dragged through the lobby of a casino and thrown into a car and dumped in the street.

$6000 for rims. Now that’s money well spent. I hope that Carey sleeps well at night knowing that the money he wasted on rims could have been used to feed starving children. Oh well, they don’t show starving kids on “Pimp My Ride.”

It’s nice to know that football players understand that, on average, they’ll earn the majority of their lifetime income between ages 22-27, and invest it wisely to last a lifetime in investments such as pimping out their cars and homes, jewelry to wear clubbing, strippers, champaign showers, cruises, funding their posses, etc.
No wonder some of these guys will have their home repossessed after they retire and have to make appearances at the grand openings of suburban car washes just to avoid bankruptcy and welfare.

Okay this could happen to anyone. But, geez, put the car in the garage when you are out of town. That is just common sense. Get a security system on the house and turn it on. Spend the money on protecting your stuff, instead of getting more stuff.
Also, football players really need to tone it down a bit. Not that fancy rims are that bad. But, their salaries are in the paper, as was noted after Sean Taylor’s death and the various home invasions. So, don’t flaunt it, if you got it.

Anything you buy for aesthetic purposes concerning your vehicle is a tangible metaphor for throwing money down a volcano. You will never get anything back from it (aside from, you know, contemptuous glances at bars and night clubs/wherever you go, and the consequences that stem from them). I don’t get why we foster this needless showiness that harbors no good at all, and benefits only the suits at whatever companies sell useless crap for cars.
This is not to say Carey deserved it. He is certainly free to spend as he wishes. I just happen to know it’s an idiotic way to enjoy your wealth, which is something not even burglary will help these people see.

There is nothing wrong with buying fancy things when you can afford them. I’d buy some bronze volk TE37’s for my 07 SI if I could but I cant afford them. This guy has the money to buy much more then this. The problem with spending money on aesthetics, for anything in life is when you cannot afford it. Believe it or not style and looking good has always been a part of life, as long as records of human civilization have been around.

Hopefully the reason that his Mercedes was outside his garage was because that’s where he keeps his Bentley, Lambo, Bugatti, Ferrari, Maybach, and his Rolls…….all of which are stocked with Dom.
I bet some of you who are complaining about him spending his money on “flashy aesthetics” or w/e u wanna call his rims, have bought a pair of name brand jeans/T-shirt/coat/any other piece of clothing over a pair of Wal-Mart w/e.
How many of you that are complaining have a piece of jewelry?
How many opted to get a nice looking mail-box, instead of a basic one.
How many wear cologne, or have bought perfume.
How many bought a more expensive house than another that was available, because it looked better.
How many have paid for landscaping, or have bought plants/flowers to put in their yard cuz it looks nice.
You all need to get real and Check Yo’ Self Fool.
