The six weeks or so between the end of voluntary workouts and the start of training camp is a fertile ground for NFL player arrests.

The most recent example?  Cardinals running back J.J. Arrington has been arrested in his home state of North Carolina for disorderly conduct.

Arrington allegedly was involved in a fight at D & I Event Center in Rocky Mount, and he was arrested along with four others.

Arrington currently is being held in the Nash County jail.

We’re confident that Arrington is innocent, primarily because we’re having a hard time picturing a “one hit and fall down” tailback as someone who would swing fists.
