A reader has forwarded to us pictures of what appears to be Raiders receiver Javon Walker and others spraying champagne at a night club. The photos bear a SpyOnVegas.com watermark. When we went to the SpyOnVegas.com web site, however, our ADD kicked in before we could find the images.
Per media reports, Walker purchased 15 bottles of Dom Perignon on Saturday night for the purposes of spraying, not drinking. (Hasn’t the guy ever heard of Mums?) Here’s one of the pictures.
Meanwhile, updated reports indicate generally that Walker suffered “significant injuries” in connection with an apparent robbery on Monday morning. He was found unconscious in the street, and hospitalized. Previously, the only specific information regarding Walker’s condition was that he had suffered a fractured orbital bone.
As a couple of commenters have noted, why would Walker have allowed himself to be alone? It makes us wonder whether he was robbed by folks who were with him, as opposed to a random street mugging.
Another readers has pointed out the similarity between Walker’s one known injury and the injuries sustained by former Raiders tight end Marcus Williams, who was jacked up during practice by a presumably ’roid-fueled Bill Romanowski.
Williams never played again. It remains to be seen whether Walker will.

Is this what NFL coverage has turned into? Sad for what the media is now.

What amazes me is that there is a difference between a young guy going out and having some fun with his friends, and an older guy who had one of his best friends die in his lap while out partying.
While I’m not suggesting that life is over for people at 29 years old, I am suggesting that at some point we start taking a grown-up perspective on things, realize that you can’t just make $55 million dollars working in the real world, and stop living a lifestyle that puts those paychecks at risk (or at least be smart enough to keep the wild parties at MY house - I should be able to afford stripper poles and spray Dom at my crib).

Maybe the people who got him are just ticked he made it rain with sticky champagne instead of money. So, they went for the money. Would have been cheaper and safer (unless you’re Pacman) to use dollar bills in the first place.

Najeh “dookie” Davenport suffered a similar injury after not properly securing his helmet due to his dreads. he came back to play.
Be careful what you wish for. He held out to get out of small town Green Bay, only to find himself in one life threating situation after another, all while being paid as a top 5 reciever, without the ability to stay healthy, and with the ability to put himself in these situations… i wish him the best, but im glad he’s no longer a Packer

Moron.
Considering the spraying of champagne in a crowded club is what precipitated the Darrent Williams slaying, you’d think this guy, of all people, would know better.
Unless, of course, he’s really looking forward to having another buddy bleed out in his lap.

How can we get out of his contract? We need to dump this ahole, and eat his signing bonus! moreover we could use the cap room for ASO and D-Burgess

Maybe I’m just old school, but I always thought spraying champagne should be reserved for championship celebrations. Looking at the picture.. I guess I’m too old or something, but it doesn’t really look like much fun for anyone involved. Walker’s got enough money to do pretty much anything he wants. What he wanted to do was piss it away (I woulda been more creative, especially in Vegas). That’s his prerogative, but he really should know better than to put himself in this situation. He jeopardized his career for this?

I’ve heard that Walker got into a bidding war with Floyd Mayweather with champagne but floyd had 50 bottles of crystal and won. And later on [Mayweather’s] entourage found javon on the street and beat his ass.

Lets see…. Javon Walker was seated next to Darrent Williams when he was shot, reportedly because of a champagne spraying incident. Now Javon is found beaten after two consecutive nights of spraying champagne at Vegas nightclubs.
Coincidence??? I think not.
Spraying people with champagne when they dont want sprayed is just inviting trouble Javon.
Go in, sit down, keep your mouth shut, then you wont have any trouble when you leave. IDIOT

I seriously doubt that he got robbed. To me, it looks like a classic case of slipping on a McDonald’s wrapper.

I get the feeling a lot of people posting here are waaaay older than the 29 that Javon is….what he’s doing isn’t THAT out of the ordinary for a high end club/party in Vegas.

Actually, Walker did not attend the New Years celebration with Williams or Marshall at the night club i.e. was not sitting at the same table, nor arriving with Williams/Marshall at the club.
If you recall, the argument started when two gang members confronted Brandon Marshall and his cousin inside the nightclub as they “were throwing gang signs.”
When the argument escalated, Darrent asked Walker to ride with him after the confrontation. Having said that, Williams untimely death had nothing to to with Walker, nor the spraying of any Dom…but a couple of thugs who decided to take matters into their own hands.
To blame anyone but those who actually committed the crime, simply is unwarranted and wrong.
Walker has his own issues to deal with, but putting the murder of Williams is not his burden to carry

I am sorry Walker is hurt, but am also sorry for all the criticism Ted Thompson took when he let Walker leave Green Bay.
Looks like Ted was way ahead of the curve when it came to Javon Walker. Not that Walker deserved a new contract after just one good season and two very nondescript ones. Trith be told,it was more a case of Walker owing the Green Bay Packers money.

It’s Mumm, not Mum’s. It is often referred to as Mumm’s but that is not correct.
Also, it’s Mo-et, not Mo-ay.

Walker probly wanted out cause GB isnt his kind of party-town.
Walker sure should have known better than to participate in a champagne spraying incident after the last one he knew something about, but hey, he’s made so many good career decisions…
This guy also has the intelligence of a soap dish.
