Contrary to a report in the Saginaw News citing the former high school coach of former NFL receiver Charles Rogers in support of news that Rogers will work out with the Vikings, Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that the Minnesota Vikings aren’t interested in the former No. 2 overall pick in the 2003 draft.
Maybe when Don Durrett said the word “Vikings” he was referring to a semi-pro team in Norway or Scandinavia or wherever Hagar the Horrible is from.
And so Rogers remains out of football (at least any North American version of it), barely five years after he was at the top of the world.

As far as all the Randy Moss chatter goes on the other story - it was only the 2nd worst trade of Randy Moss.

Actually there is a or was a team named the Oslo Westside Vikings, they were is a Semi Pro League. Players were mostly Norweigan a few who played in the World American Football League after it died, and some U.S. Military who were stationed in the Country.
They had Training Camo in the Winter and played in the summer. If anyone actually cares!!!

I’m not naive enough to think the Vikings are set at every position, but I think WR will be like LB a couple of years ago. That year that drafted Chad Greenway in the 1st round because they had question marks at all three LB positions. Greenway was hurt in the preseason, yet their LB core was one of the strengths of the team. A year later Greenway moves into the starting lineup and the LBs are even better.
That’s how the WRs are looking. Sidney Rice wasn’t even old enough to buy beer last year (I think he was the youngest or 2nd youngest guy in the NFL), yet he showed he’s on his way to being a true No. 1 WR — if not this year, by next year. Add in Berrian as the other starter and Bobby Wade in the slot and it’s a quality WR trio (the telling sign is Wade. If he’s the No. 1 like last year, the WR corps is weak; if he’s the No. 3 it’s a good WR corps).
So I think the WRs will be decent. And Tavaris Jackson should take a big step in his progression.
Granted the WRs and QB won’t be dominant — they will be middle of he road among NFL teams, but not among the worst like they’ve been lately. But with their D and running game, if WR and QB play isn’t a liability, that makes the Vikings a much tougher team than they have been in a long time.

I don’t know why Mike likes the Vikes, but he does. Its not because of the italian restaurants there in the Twin Cities. The most italian they have is a place called Figlio’s, and that’s about as italian as Pizza Hut.

Its not the Vikings are stocked at WR. If he can’t get MN interested, he will never play professional football again. (I can’t believe I used the words “professional football” and the Vikings in the same sentence)
