The guys at Deadspin posted this morning an excellent Boston College promotional video featuring the late Tim Russert and his son Luke. The Deadspin story is right here.
But since we know that you prefer to simply click play on the YouTube video box in lieu of having to suffer through the drudgery of actually clicking through one time to another web page, we’ve opted to paste the YouTube video below.
In Internet terms, it’s fairly long. But it’s worth watching the whole thing.
Meanwhile, we agree completely with Will Leitch’s take regarding Luke Russert’s appearance on Today with Matt Lauer. We expect to see and hear a lot more from Luke Russert over the coming months and years, because we’re convinced that he’ll rise to the top of whatever profession he chooses.
And if we can hear, plain as day, Tim Russert saying, “Luke, this is your time to shine,” we’ve got a feeling that Luke Russert can hear it, too.
We, and a lot of other folks, will be rooting for Luke, every step of the way.

I think Luke did a wonderful job on the Today show this morning. I was amazed at how composed he was. He’s certainly a bright young man that will do great things in the future.

Somehow, the fact that Florio finds four and a half minutes taxing doesn’t surprise me. That’s about 200 times longer than he spent analyzing the Chad Johnson “I thought you were a little bit -igger” video.

Chadie-Boy aside, this is just one of a myriad of reasons to lament the loss of a true american icon. This is just one more case of “you don’t know what you’ve got ’till it’s gone”. Gonna miss you, Tim. And nice find, Florio.
And screw you, Chad.
