Justin Tuck is better than Strahan. He doesn't have the "effervescence" or the analysts' lips connected to his ass, but he's better.
I wish you wouldn't waste your/our time with "rumors" that should be called "easy speculation."

Dynamics can change over a year's time. Last year, Plastico was happy. This year? Not so much.

A player can return from the reserve/retired list at any point before an annual deadline that usually lands in late November.

(Insert name here) MIGHT NOT REALLY BE RETIRED!

Enough, we've seen it a million times. And we're all still waiting for Barry Sanders to come back.

Strahan has been placed on the reserve/retired list, just like Favre. I do not think a player can come off this list that same year.

Last year, you said Strahan WAS one of the locker room problems. Now you say the Giants need him to prevent locker room issue. Waffle much?

"Retiring" players should count against team rosters and salary caps until they file retirement paperwork. When the paperwork is filed, players should have to sit out the current season before they can "unretire". Stuff like this stinks of stashing players that don't count against your roster until you need them.

This kind of story is a clear case of how PFT doesn't have anything relevant to post, but decides to play conspiracy theory with whoever the latest retiree happens to be in the NFL. Whose next? Johnathan Ogden?

Strahan retired on top, he's not going to come back and play another season when he's being heavily recruited by the television studios right now. He's retiring a Super Bowl Champ and that's going to be played up in his first year on the air; not to mention in the kind of salary he's going to generate. It will be common place to hear sportscasters say, "We're being joined by SuperBowl Champ, Michael Strahan..."

If he comes back, plays another year, and the Giants have a terrible season, what will the sportscasters say? "We're being joined by Michael Strahan, formerly of the NFL..."

Hm, doesn't have the same kind of ring to it as the first one, does it?
