Shackman, Wiki says:

"Teyo was recruited to Stanford University as one of the most highly touted two-sport athletes in the country. He aspired to play quarterback, but as he was buried on the depth chart, the coaches switched him to wide receiver to get his talent on the field.[1] He racked up 79 catches, 1032 yards and 15 TDs in 22 games. After his sophomore season he decided to leave school early and enter the NFL draft.

He also played forward for two years on the Stanford basketball team, alongside future NBA players like Josh Childress, Casey Jacobsen, Jason Collins and Jarron Collins."

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Teyo Johnson a former PAC-10 basketball player from a couple of years back trying to make the leap to the NFL, a la Antonio Gates? How many teams have cut him so far?

Pretty soon Teyo is going to have to call it a career because no one will be calling for his services. Kind of sad because he did show some promise early on with the Raiders.

re: At the end of OTAs, the Panthers’ players yelled, “Tampa!” as a reminder that that’s the location of next year’s Super Bowl.

Did they then yell 'home theatre' as a reminder of where they would be watching it?

Noah Herron better watch out. Its common knowledge that club owners that are also active NFL players get into trouble sooner or later.

This does not surprise me.

The New York Giants' Kevin Boss is unselfish. Bill Polian believes his Colts have never been better. Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall predicts a 100-catch season.

John Kitna of the Detroit Lions said, "I guess I should say, ‘No, we’ll win three games this year.' "

I'll tell you exactly where Bill Conlin got the "blueberry harvest" reference: his own paper's website, philly.com.

Philly.com ran a story the other day (on the same day Conlin made the remark) about the different fruit harvests, and how they are becoming more economical than buying produce in supermarkets, due to the rising cost of groceries.

The blueberry harvest actually got a stand out mention in the article, simply because it is supposed to be starting this weekend. I only remember the story because I thought it would be a great, cheap idea to take the family out for. The strawberry harvest also got a mention, and I said something to my dad when I saw it because my pop used to take the whole family out for the strawberry thing.

It really is no big deal, but it is funny to see people make it a big deal. I would track the actual story down, but seriously, is it worth my time?

I wonder if they all jumped in the air, fists raised, at the same time for a freeze-frame photo?

The suspension of Bill COnlin is a dream come true to those of use who want to watch the Philly Sports show. However, the utterly ridiculous reason, is a prime example that the US is out of control. I am a fairly "worldly" person, and never have I seen, read or heard of blueberry harvest being racist or mean in anyway. The fact that someone could hold others account for a vague reference and assume everyone should know it can be offensive is frustrating and stupid.
