Vikings defensive end Jared Allen is thinking big. Really big.
Allen said on Sunday, “We expect to go to the Super Bowl.”
It’s probably not the wisest way to go about staying under radar. But, then again, the Giants showed last year that big talk isn’t necessarily a bad thing. More than a few members of the organization declared that they’d knock off the supposedly invincible Patriots in the Super Bowl. It sounded ridiculous, until Plaxico Burress was hauling in the game-winning touchdown pass.
Safety Darren Sharper was a bit more diplomatic. “The thing that I see as a difference is the attitude of the guys that are here,” he said. “We have an attitude this year like we’re working toward a goal. We’re always working toward a goal, but this year you can definitely sense the guys have a little bit of extra pep in their step because we know we have a good team.”
Though Sharper is treading safer ground here, maybe Allen’s bravado is the better way to make things happen now.
If, of course, Allen and his teammates can back it up.

Minny better sign a competent QB before they even have division champion aspirations. Jackson is awful and he will bring down an otherwise solid team.

Vikings are going to run a muck in the NFC North this season! I would HATE to be any team playing in our dome in the playoffs!!!! They have the players to easily be the best team in the NFC this season.
SKOL VIKINGS!!!!

Yeah, right. It would probably help if the Vikings had a QB as good as the any of the three Green Bay QB’s, or at least one as good as Kitna, for starters. Oh heck, let’s go crazy, and mention than they don’t have a WR who will break 50 receptions this year, much less a TE who can catch.
At least he’s giving the rest of the Division poster-board material.

ALLDAMNDAY-
my favorite team is the packers, lets compare rosters. i will start with jarred allen and aaron kampman- last 3 years both have i believe 34 sacks, kampman has played in one more game than allen. pretty DAMN close, eh? while we are on the topic of the d-line i will go ahead a graciously provide you with the fact that “the williams wall” prolly has a leg up on our stout rotation of D tackles….now its your turn- and if the first player you bring up is AP i will have no respect for you, dig deeper- come up with something good.
