Updating prior reports, WGRZ-TV reports that up to four witnesses claim that Bills running back Marshawn Lynch was behind the wheel of the vehicle he owns when the vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run incident on Saturday.
The vehicle, a Porche SUV, remains in the custody of Buffalo police.
Lynch has not yet agreed to speak to police, for reasons that are now obvious.

NOW your actually saying something (allegedly) accurate. congrats, too bad u didnt add this to your first b.s. report it wouldve given it some legitimacy. There’s more than “thoughts” & opinions as proof in this story. Although its still not “proven” he was behind the wheel, actual witness’ can “put him behind the wheel” more than conjecture does.

The reason he didn’t want to speak to police was blatantly obvious before, the media was just trying to give Lynch the benefit of the doubt.
Pretty sure my post on the last Lynch thread outlined it perfectly. Dude was the likely suspect from the instant the woman was hit by his vehicle.
Refusing to cooperate with law enforcement (as I’m sure Florio can validate) is definitely not the way to get out of trouble/reduce your sentence.
Lynch could’ve owned up and probably settled this out of court. Huge bonehead move.

Ok but still that doesn’t prove anything? How do we know she didn’t run at his car at a high rate of speed, trying to damage his car and hurt Marshawnn?
Let’s not jumpt to conclusions guys.
I’d also point out again that attempted murder is not prohibited anywhere in the NFL rule book.

Sounds like its time for Lynch to break out the checkbook to make sure that those four witnesses “misremember” the events when it comes time to make their statements and/or testify.

Jeez, all he had to do was be straight from the beginning and all this would be forgiven and forgotten, and accepted as a just an unfortunate accident. Now he just appears as another prima donna thug who thinks his celebrity will get him off (figuratively). Sad, because he basically seems like a decent guy who was trying to fit in in Buffalo - the anti-Mcgahee.

Hey I know that he has a right to plead the 5th to the police.. But couldnt Mr. Goodell suddenly decide that it was time for Lynch to have a completely random drug test.

At least the vicitim is going to survive. Apparently, she was able to reach the ambulance under her own power. More than likely, if he had just stopped and helped her, this would pretty much be over.
But then again, at 3:30 in the morning, he may have had a snoot full and didn’t want to get nabbed for DWI. I think it’s a virtual miracle that any American male makes it out of his 20’s.
Thank God, I am old and have to be in bed by ten!

Why do pro athletes think they are above the law? Absolutely disgusting. I haven’t been reading the message boards lately; but I am wondering if Bills’ fans are reacting like Pats’ fans do. How do Pats fans react when their players cheat or break the law?
Here is a typical comment from a Pats fan. This was in another thread in reference to Kaczur’s drug dealing: “I’m certain that no other NFL (or NBA or NHL or MLB) player has ever found themselves in similar circumstances and made a bad decision. Right.” MaineMan
Headline - Pats caught cheating (Spygate)
Pats Fans - yeah but every team does it.
Headline - Walsh thinks one other team was cheating just like us
Pats Fans - See, other teams do it.
Headline - Pats punished for cheating after being warned to stop
Pats Fans - There is no way that we are the only team dumb enough to keep cheating after being warned.
Headline - Pats’ 2nd cheating scandal - Players on IR used in practice.
Pats Fans - The league is singling us out. Somebody else must be dumb enough to do this. Oh yeah, and our former players are unloyal too. Those punks.
Headline - 2 Pats players have been dealing drug.
Pats Fans - You can’t tell me that other teams don’t have players that are drug dealers.
The mentality? If other people do it - it must be ok. What’s next? Seriously, what would it take for a Pats’ fan to realize that these guys are cheaters and now criminals?
I hope that Bills fans will resist the urge to cover over Lynch’s mistakes like they were common everyday occurrences, and therefore acceptable.
