A Wisconsin man was sentenced to six months in prison for posting bogus terrorist threats about NFL stadiums on the Internet two years ago.
Jake Brahm posted that dirty bombs would be detonated at seven NFL games on October 22, 2006. He said they would be praised by Osama bin Laden as “America’s Hiroshima.” He pleaded guilty to posting the false information in February but claimed that they were never meant to be taken seriously.
Federal Judge Jose Linares disagreed and also ordered Brahm to pay $26,750 to two stadiums - he listed Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Houston, Oakland, Cleveland and New York City, aka East Rutherford, as the targets - that incurred extra security costs.

They should have known that was a hoax because even if a “dirty bomb” had been set off in East Rutherford, how would anyone know the difference.

And they say that the true cost of stupidity can’t be measured.
There is nothing funny about a bomb or a sheet metal roll press.
