On Tuesday, reports surfaced that Bengals receiver Chad Johnson would return to the team from which he has pleaded to be traded.
And now Johnson is being contradicted by his agent, Drew Rosenhaus.
Rosenhaus, an analyst for Sprint Exclusive Entertainment whose periodic commentaries are available via Sprint TV and, from time to time, on YouTube, claims that Johnson has made no final decisions regarding when or if he’ll return.
“[T]hat’s news to me,” Rosenhaus said, “you know the reports about Chad making a decision about reporting to camp or not asking for a trade, all of that’s a bit premature and talking to Chad tonight, you know, the feeling is that we’re still in discussion about what is in his best interest and according to Chad, he’s not made a final decision yet. So I think that the reports that surfaced are a bit premature and may in fact be jumping the gun. At this point in time
So Chad will either show up for next week’s mandatory minicamp. Or he won’t.

Ive never cared less about what a player is doing or saying than Chad Johnson. Just a mere months ago it was funny.

Suddenly a soap dish comes to mind.
As a Bengals fan I really could care less as well. After I read that piece in the “ESPN the magazine” I thought to myself, “I’m glad they got plenty of WR’s now, maybe they can turn the corner on Chad”.
At this point I hope he comes to the camp and does something really stupid so that they can suspend him for 4 games. Fat chance of that happening, but I would rather see him shipped to Oakland, Kansas City or Miami where he can whine some more.

Remember your draft in last year’s fantasy football drafts? I know in mine, Randy Moss fell to like the 5th round or so because everyone thought he was a turd coming out of a few unproductive years in Oakland. My is, of course, I hope to be the guy who scoops up 85 in the late rounds and he ends up bein’ the same ole Chad on the field, complete with gaudy numbers. Late round sleeper here folks, count it…

Wouldn’t both sides be happy if he showed up, behaved well, kept his mouth shut…Then, when all seems well in Cinci they traded him.. The team and Chad could save face.

Reports that surfaced? Yeah, they surfaced because Chad opened up his yapper again. That’s where they surfaced from. You have bottom feeders, and then you have the slimy gunk that bottom feeders feed on, and somewhere below that is Drew Rosenhaus.

OK, for the love of all that is good and holy, for the very last time: The Bengals DO NOT need a corner! We are set there. We desperately need a big DT, though and I’d happily trade Chad for one as long as they are not represented by Drew Rosenhaus.

It’s funny reading all the postings. My faith was lost when Marvin Harrison had his trouble. Screw these guys. They don’t care about us. When is the last time a season ticket holder received a birthday card from them? They don’t know my name why should I know theirs? I have a job to go to tomorrow. I can’t debate what they pay me. Personally I hope they all develop a death eating virus and watch them squirm where money can’t buy their health. I was a die hard fan!

Chad Johnson is a loser. He’s brought nothing to the Bengals but distractions. If the Bengals are smart and if they’re truly serious about changing the culture in Cincy then they’ll dump this loser for a box a golf balls and move on.
The Cincinnati Bengals have won NOTHING with Chad Johnson.
Dump this loser. He’s not worth the trouble.

Chad’s new nickname should be Klinger. His behavior is eerily similar to the M*A*S*H* standout who does everything he can to try to get his superiors to relieve him from duty for being nuts. If he shows up to minicamp in a dress and earrings, don’t be shocked.

I’m starting to put some things together here: Drew Rosenhaus has a great relationship with the Cowboys. He gets star players to disrupt other teams so they will be traded to …..the Cowboys. Sounds fishy to me.

Kotite - serious creativity points for the Klinger reference. Well done. However, when it hit the fan, no one was more reliable and more loyal than Klinger. He was a flake, but he was also a pro’s pro when it mattered most. The jackass in Cincy has none of those redeeming qualities. He runs the wrong routes and then goes back to the sideline to scream at his QB.

Chad Johnson is annoying and overrated. T.J. is the better receiver on that team.
Anyway, what have the Bengals done with Chad Johnson, T.J., and Carson? Let’s see, 8-8, 8-8, 11-5, 8-8, 7-9.
Get over it. They peaked 3 years ago when the other team from their division won the Super Bowl.

I can picture the conversation now:
Drew: Chad…you told them what!?
Chad: Dude…I just wanna play football. They called our bluff.
Drew: Damn….didn’t you watch my press conference with TO where I had my hand up his a$$ making his lips move? That was PURE Hollywood Ocho! You could be a star if you let me tell you what to say.
Chad: Ya mean I might even be able to be sponsored by some grill like George Foreman?
Drew: Only if you let me reach in real deep….otherwise when your lips move it won’t seem real.
