Free-agent linebacker Roosevelt Colvin, one of the few remaining vets without a team, is visiting with the Houston Texans today.
Colvin has previously been linked to the Browns, Jets and Colts and is coming off a foot injury that ended his season in November. According to the Houston Chronicle, the team’s interest is predicated on their desire to add another outside pass rusher to complement Mario Williams. Colvin, if healthy, fits the bill. He had 8.5 sacks in 2006 and recorded four before his season-ending injury last year.
Currently the Texans have Zack Diles and Morlon Greenwood penciled in as starters at outside linebacker. Diles didn’t play much in 2007 and rushing the passer isn’t a strong suit of Greenwood’s. They did select Xavier Adibi, who had 11 sacks for Virginia Tech, in the draft to address their pass rush needs but may prefer a more experienced hand.

Zack Diles and Morlon Greenwood? Sounds like characters from a 50’s sci-fi movie.

Good luck Rosie! As a Pats fan, I will appreciate what you did for the Patriots. I’d rather see you be a thorn in the Colts side than see you playing for the Colts or any AFC East competitor.
