PewterReport.com is reporting that Buccaneers tight end Jerramy Stevens will be suspended for the first two games of the 2008 season as a result of his 2007 “extreme DUI” conviction.

Stevens was already suspended for one game last season in connection with the incident, but according to Pewter Report, Stevens still has two games to go to fulfill the suspension.

Stevens has a long history of legal problems both in the NFL and in college, some of which were detailed in a troubling story in the Seattle Times early this year.

The Buccaneers signed Stevens to a one-year contract in April of 2007 and then re-signed him last week. He had 18 catches for 189 yards and four touchdowns in 15 games in 2007.
