The Cards are trying to get a deal in place that pays him in accordance if he's the #1 or #2 guy. Either way he'll be paid well. Granted he's not what he once was, he's still got the mechanics of a very solid player. If they can't keep him, I'd have to imagine that he'll find suitors elsewhere.
