The Chicago Bears drafted 12 players in April 2008. Already, seven of them are under contract.
The latest is safety Craig Steltz. The fourth-round pick from LSU signed a four-year deal.
The five remaining unsigned Chicago rookies are first-round tackle Chris Williams, second-round running back Matt Forté, third-round receiver Earl Bennett, third-round defensive tackle Marcus Harrison, and fifth-round cornerback Zackary Bowman.
Most teams currently have signed not a single member of their rookie classes.

Steltz, sure seems to have a nose for the ball…and can bring it hard to the ball carrier…

Steltz will be ready to step in when Mike Brown goes down for the season again.
