webviking6 - It seems a bit of a stretch to equate Vick, Pac Man, and Bryant McKinnie together as players that should be banned for life. Vick and Pac man certainly. McKinnie? I do not think so. Before we start banning guys for life we should construct a list of all the current players organized in order of turdyness, than ask ourselves where does the line get drawn.

Hey guys, Pac Man was suspended before he was even convicted of a crime, and now, the details surrounding what happened are murky at best. What he did was also alleged at the time, but if Goddell wants to continue with his precedent, he has to suspend McKinnie for a significant amount of time as well. Tank Johnson, just had a lot of ammo, but did not do anything with it, but McKinnie "allegedly" assaulted someone with a pole with the assault being directed at the person's head. After everything that has gone down in the NFL and seeing the punishments handed down, McKinnie should no better, Goddell would probably say, and therefore should be hit with significant time.

HEY, Florio, read what you just wrote:

"Regardless of what the judge in Florida does to McKinnie, the judge, jury, and executioner on Park Avenue can do whatever he wants, given a Collective Bargaining Agreement that has provided Goodell with full and complete power to discipline players for off-field misconduct. The fact that any appeal is handled by Goodell or his designee makes Goodell’s power to mete out punishment absolute."

Now, why the hell do you keep banging the drum for Roger Goodell to start holding teams responsible for the off-the-field actions of their players? This is a league, the players are represented by a league wide union. The proper judge, jury and executioner for punishing players for of-the-field misconduct detrimental to the league is the league. A team tries to discipline a player, the union immediately files a grievance.

You said it yourself above. Goodell is the judge, jury and executioner.

He can punish the team by suspending their star player who happens to be a turd. And he punishes the turd at the same time.

Two birds with one stone.

What does fining or taking draft picks away from the team accomplish? Nothing.

And you want turds to start taking the NFL's Policy of Conduct seriously? Well, maybe Goodell needs to grow some big, brass ones and start throwing out some turds for life.

He could start with Michael Vick, and then throw Pac Man out the next time he gets so much as a jaywalking ticket (it's only a matter of time with that clown).

Starting to pass out lifetime bans to irredeemable thugs like Vick, Pac Man, and yes, Bryant McKinnie, would sure be a lot more impressive than making tough talk to the media about holding teams responsible.

Wow kide sorry to tell you but this is alleged theres no reliable witnesses and alot of people saying he didnt do it other wise they wouldnt be trying to get him in the program were the charges wouldnt be dropped. Pacman on the other hand had so mny people saying he did it it was unbelievable and was in trouble i think it was 4 or 5 times before the incedent mckinnie only got in trouble 1 time which wasnt even that bad of a charge because they didnt get charged with what it started out with the people trying to charge them with so.

commish will say 2 games paycheck or 1 game suspension with paycheck

He will probably be suspended 4 games. He was never suspended for his first off the field issue, and well, he didn't really do anything wrong that time around.

Give me a break he has done nothing even close to Pacman, my God people wake up! You will be lucky if you even see him do a 2 game suspension.

If he's gone for half a season for not being convicted of this crime and for a simple Disorderly Conduct, Goodell should resign
