The Canadian pipeline for washed-up NFL receivers continues to churn and flow.
The latest former NFL wideout to make the move north of the border is Kelly Campbell, a speedster whose legal troubles contributed to a premature exit from “real” pro football.
Campbell has signed with the Edmonton Eskimos.
He’s already in camp, and the coach is raving. “I have a pretty good rundown of who Kelly Campbell is, what kind of football player he is and what kind of human being he is,” Danny Maciocia said. “I’m excited about watching him play. The last couple of days he’s shown some things that we expected he was going to be able to do.”
Campbell played for the Vikings and the Dolphins. He left Georgia Tech as the school’s all-time leader in catches, yards, and receiving touchdowns.

Did I get all the quotation marks? LOL. OK, “…AND WHAT KIND OF HUMAN BEING HE IS…” Yeah? So… what kind of human being is he? Did you “expect” him to be able to MAKE IT RAIN? Or what?

Campbell has talent and speed. He is a playmaker when given the chance. Why the Viking let him go, I am not sure. I guess he was not as valued in other aspects of the game but he was a serious deep threat when with the Vikings.
