Unfortunately, I have to disagree. While I would like to have Jason Taylor in Green Bay, everyone knew what Reggie meant in 93 when he said "GOD HAS HIS HANDS ON THIS TEAM." It was clear that Favre was going to be a star and the influx of players to Green Bay followed. Right now, there is no such marquee player in Green Bay to make it a desireable place for young, mostly black players want to go. It's freaking cold and there is not much night life. The casino by the airport gets a little old and there aint much else to do. Don't get me wrong, I love Green Bay...I just think the appeal is not there for the young black player, especially without star power.

Reggie White was 31 when he joined the Packers. It didn't have anything to do with him being the possible last piece of the puzzle either.

These two situations have very little in common. Throw in the fact that White wanted to play football, and was the type of guy to go to training camp, mini-camp and whatever else the team wanted from him.

Jason Taylor is a great football player. I'd love the Packers to acquire him for a third or fourth round pick.

He does not compare favorably in this situation or with Reggie White.

I think this is the last year of KGB's contract and he will probably go to another team. And that's fine, he wasn't an every-down player (not a good one, anyway) even when he was younger. I think there are 4 young guys on that DL now who each have a chance to surpass KGB as an all-around player. But I will remember his career fondly. Great draft find.

All the more reason for the Pack to get into the Jason Taylor mix. Taylor is still a football player and GB is a contender for a run at the SB. He would get some fame from the primetime events in GB and this would be a little ALA' Reggie...
