Given he was initially released a few days into OTAs I suspect he wasn't moving around the way he was expected at this point in his latest rehab. I think it was already questionable if he'd be ready for the start of the season, so if he's behind in his rehab now and has a history of not recovering in a timely manner, I don't expect to see much from him this year no matter who's paying his contract.
