Packers defensive end Aaron Kampman is taking an active role in cleanup efforts following a tornado that struck near his hometown of Kelsey, Iowa.
“Aaron said he has a chainsaw running and doing anything they can to help,” Packers director of media relations Adam Woullard told Greg Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Kampman’s grandfather, Claas, suffered serious injuries and underwent surgery on Monday.
Donations for the relief effort are being accepted by Lincoln Savings Bank, at (319) 347-2305.

Being a Packer fan, I clicked on the link you provided and was directed to a Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel blog run by staff writer Greg Bedard.
After I got done reading them all, I just had to shake my head in amazement at the lack of compassion showed by some of the posters there.
All Bedard did was post a short, innocuous blurb updating Pack fans on what Kampman was doing to help with the cleanup and a small pack of posters showed up like hungry dogs stumbling upon fresh roadkill.*
Their chief complaint? This type of posting had no business on a sports blog. Just football, 24/7, all the time, with no regard for for real life tragedies that might affect players on their favorite teams. Just kind of made me ashamed to be a human being for a bit. Now that I got that off my chest I’ll get down from my pulpit and relax for the rest of the evening.
*may be a slight exaggeration
