"Because he knows more about the Patriots cheating ways, and its a liability for the Patriots to have someone like him out of their radar. Look what happened with having Walsh outside their radar."

I guess that's why the Patriots haven't cut ANYONE since 2001. Have to keep tabs on everybody who's in on it, right?

It continues to be frustrating to read idiotic conspiracy-tinged comments like yours on a site that once had intelligent discussion of football and the NFL.

A bad TE is better than no TE?

The Jimmy, I completely agree with you.

Its that basic logic that homer Cheatriot Fans can't fathom.

If a player can't block, can't learn the plays, and runs wrong routes, why would you keep him?

Futhermore, why would you convince him to come back after he leaves voluntarily?

Because he knows more about the Patriots cheating ways, and its a liability for the Patriots to have someone like him out of their radar. Look what happened with having Walsh outside their radar.

And, by the way, this blog has become more and more Pro-Patriot Pro-apologist as of late. It bothers me because I used to look to this more to be unbiassed, but I can't believe anyone is unbiassed who honestly thinks Spygate doesn't matter, and that seems to be the position this blog has been taking more and more.

My question is, if he:
1. couldn't block
2. couldn't learn the playbook
3. kept running wrong routes, even in practice

Why did they talk him in to coming back? Seems like they would have been glad to see him go and not have to pay him.

"Who really cares? We are talking about an article from South Coast Today. I live in Massachusetts and I have never heard of the publication."

Robo... maybe you should read more.. It's the New Bedford Standard Times. Maybe you wouldn't enjoy those bullschi# sandwiches they keep feeding you from Foxboro if they didn't give you such great big glass of kool-aid to wash it down with.

You live in the same friggin state... learn that there is life outside the team's official site or the teams' official mouthpiece paper.

OK, sure. And you know this how? In what capacity do you work for the New England Patriots and therefore would have access to this kind of information?

Wait, so he walked out on his team because he couldn't handle it when his coach critisized his play. That's mature...way to throw a hissy fit Kyle.

So many people here assuming that since he left, he was obviously of some high moral fiber and couldn't handle being on a team of "cheaters." These are the same people who have little or no understanding of the game, or its history.

Could it be that Kyle Brady simply couldn't handle being on the team? A team that reportedly has the highest of standards for their players, and is among the toughest to learn and play on? Could it be he just couldn't handle what was required of him, and he quit? If he supposedly had this strain of moral fiber, why did he just up and leave? Why didn't he speak out? Why did he cut and run out quietly, like someone who had been beaten down? It is FAR more likely that he couldn't hack it in NE. He isn't the first, and won't be the last.

The dude's head is the size of a friggen chevy. How did they even find a helmet big enough to fit that massive head.

I guess that the Bostonians like big heads.

Check Bruins player Milan Lucic, his head is massive as well.

"I have trouble believe anything I hear about the Patriots that isn’t an admission of cheating. "

That's because like a dozen or so other parasites on this web site, you've let your irrational hatred and jealousy of the Patriots success completely cloud your judgment. At this point posts like yours are nothing but boring and tedious.

Who really cares? We are talking about an article from South Coast Today. I live in Massachusetts and I have never heard of the publication.

Fact of the matter is a lot of older players who come from other teams have trouble adapting to the Patriots rigid standards. There have been several players who have retired the first day of training camp. Brady just was unable or unwilling to meet their standards. That happens on every team.

As for the ludicrious idea that the Pats are trying to smear Brady, why would they wait until Memorial Day weekend with a publication of a readership of about 10 to release this information. If the Patriots were looking to smear Brady they would have given the information to the Globe around the time they released him.

I do see that certain Pats hating posters' obsession with the Patriots does go beyond Sygate related stories.

"Some people have a conscience in this world."

Yes, that must be why he didn't show up for the Voluntary Off Season workouts, held out from Training Camp, and asked for a trade. Oh, wait, he didn't do ANYTHING that might indicate he was unhappy being on a Championship-caliber team. All he did was prove that he doesn't have what it takes to be a member of the elite - you know, things like running the pass route called for the play...

So even if everything else that was mentioned in the article is true and assuming age started to catch up to K. Brady the following quote from the article seems like they were just trying to tack stuff on: "Not only was there the collective belief that he was a less than adequate blocker" ANYONE who watches any tape is going to know that is crap. Brady, built like a lineman was brought in TO block (which explains the 9 receptions (2 touchdowns), which with the exception of 2006 is Bradys lowest # of receptions in his career...the guy is a blocking Tight End. (Which in addition explains why Jacksonville kept Brady around at several million dollars even though they had drafted Marcedes Lewis who is a receiving TE).

Long story short, maybe the South Coast Today should stop relying on the Matt Walshes of the Patriots organization to fill out articles when they don't review the facts. (Btw, the Pats are still cheaters.)

Or, Brady left last season and was persuaded to stay because of all the knowledge he might have of the Patriots' various forms of cheating.

Honestly, this is the shadiest, dirtiest franchise EVER.

If he was always running wrong routes and sucking at his job, I'm sure they'd cut him . . . but WAIT, its like a fraternity over there because everyone is in on their dirty little secrets.

I have trouble believe anything I hear about the Patriots that isn't an admission of cheating.

Of course Kyle Brady ran wrong routes. He's a right tackle that lines up one too many spots away from the center.

Why is this such a big headline? Who really cares? It's interesting that a Patriot coach is trashing a former player on an 18-1 team in public ("concerns about his mental toughness, and he reportedly ran the wrong routes “regularly” during games and practice.") Whoaaa, that's cold. Maybe now even former players will trash the coaches and their cheating.

Weird, never an ill word was spoken of him in Jacksonville. Towards the end of his tenure with the Jags, it was apparent that he was thinking of retirement in the near future--maybe he decided at some point that he'd just had enough. Wouldn't be the first time.

BTW, Do we have to continue to listen top these losers who want to bask the Pats because their own team sucks?! If you've ever gotten a speeding ticket, you have no business calling the Patriot's cheaters - unless you want to be called a criminal! What the Patriots did was no more harmful, nor uncommon than speeding. Both are, against the rules though. And please, stop calling what they did illegal! There were no laws broken, only league rules.

Interesting story. Although, it comes as the third part of an article from an author who claims Fernando is the next coming of Champ Bailey, and that Rodney Harrison hasn't lost a step... Makes you wonder how unbiased the story about Kyle Brady is. A bit of a homer if you ask me...

I irony with Belichick and Kyle Brady is that he was the guy Belichick really wanted in the 1995 draft as Browns head coach in the first round. When the Jets took Brady ahead of Cleveland, Belichick was taken so off guard that he traded out of his pick (with Sapp still on the board) and down to SF's slot so they could move up to take J.J. Stokes. Cleveland got SF's 1st rounder the next year which Baltimore used on Ray Lewis. Bummer.
