Memorial Day weekend is traditionally one of the lower points of the NFL calendar, when it comes to the flow of news.
But there’s a new disclosure today regarding the team that won its first 18 games of the 2007 season. Tight end Kyle Brady at one point pulled an Andy Katzenmoyer, leaving the team abruptly.
Brady was persuaded into coming back before word of his hiatus hit the wire. But the team’s decision to cut ties with him in the offseason now makes more sense.
Then again, the Pats likely wouldn’t have kept him even if he hadn’t gone AWOL. There reportedly were concerns about his mental toughness, and he reportedly ran the wrong routes “regularly” during games and practice.

Wait, so he walked out on his team because he couldn’t handle it when his coach critisized his play. That’s mature…way to throw a hissy fit Kyle.

A lot of you hit it on the head…
He was embarrassed by the cheating - a lot of people in that locker room were.
Expect more fallout.

OK, sure. And you know this how? In what capacity do you work for the New England Patriots and therefore would have access to this kind of information?

“Who really cares? We are talking about an article from South Coast Today. I live in Massachusetts and I have never heard of the publication.”
Robo… maybe you should read more.. It’s the New Bedford Standard Times. Maybe you wouldn’t enjoy those bullschi# sandwiches they keep feeding you from Foxboro if they didn’t give you such great big glass of kool-aid to wash it down with.
You live in the same friggin state… learn that there is life outside the team’s official site or the teams’ official mouthpiece paper.

My question is, if he:
1. couldn’t block
2. couldn’t learn the playbook
3. kept running wrong routes, even in practice
Why did they talk him in to coming back? Seems like they would have been glad to see him go and not have to pay him.

The Jimmy, I completely agree with you.
Its that basic logic that homer Cheatriot Fans can’t fathom.
If a player can’t block, can’t learn the plays, and runs wrong routes, why would you keep him?
Futhermore, why would you convince him to come back after he leaves voluntarily?
Because he knows more about the Patriots cheating ways, and its a liability for the Patriots to have someone like him out of their radar. Look what happened with having Walsh outside their radar.
And, by the way, this blog has become more and more Pro-Patriot Pro-apologist as of late. It bothers me because I used to look to this more to be unbiassed, but I can’t believe anyone is unbiassed who honestly thinks Spygate doesn’t matter, and that seems to be the position this blog has been taking more and more.

A bad TE is better than no TE?

I guess that’s why the Patriots haven’t cut ANYONE since 2001. Have to keep tabs on everybody who’s in on it, right?
It continues to be frustrating to read idiotic conspiracy-tinged comments like yours on a site that once had intelligent discussion of football and the NFL.
