Honestly who cares about the jets, kellen clemens, chad penningston, or eric mangina. They are in new york so “oh woooow they have such a market!!” Honestly no on cares. The jets are terrible and will not be better anytime soon.

When a guy plain out can’t coach, they always want the younger QB to blame, as they think it will buy them more time on the job. To steal from Larry the Cable Guy “Ray Charles can see that Chad Pennington is a better QB than Kellen Clemens”

What Mangini really meant to say “We drafted this guy to be our QB of the future and really want him to succeed because we’ll look good and the team will look good. But Clemens sucks. KC cant even beat out a QB who can’t place in the 8 year old girls division of the punt pass and kick comepteion.”

whats up with the plethora of Mangini posts today? The Jets have never been anything but irrelevant under his watch except for a fluke playoff season. I know its pro foot ball talk, but do the jets really qualify?

the problem is that kellen has not played so great last year
the jets clearly put themselves in a position to win right now
they need to at least make the playoffs this year
as of now, you know what chad will give you- dependability
if they start chad, and he plays bad- worst come to worst mangini can throw kellen in their and revitalize the team

if kellen wins the starting job, there is no way they will pay chad 8 or 9 million to be a backup- they will ask him to restructure his contract, and he will decline, which will eventually lead to a trade or to be cut

Organizations have to be honest with themselves if they want to win. They do that by washing all of the superfluous BS out of the way and by putting the best players on the field regardless of contracts, age, popularity, media etc…. If they allow alternate adgendas to influence the the decisions of what players to field, then they are doing themselves, the organization and the fans a disservice.
