DGB, what are you talking about by all accounts 'dreadful?' The NE-Carolina Super Bowl in Houston came off great. One of the better stadiums in the league, great facilities for the teams and media, tons of restaurants and nice hotels. If you're referring to the SB hosted in Houston in 1973 or 74, I might agree. The last one was great. The weather in Feb in Hou isn't as nice as Miami, Tampa, Phoenix or SoCal but it's sure as hell better than anything else north of Houston.

The Indy 500 seats like 400,000 people that all pay for tickets...and brings to town something like 20,0000 more. So in shear numbers of humans it blows the SB outta the water 5 or 6 times over.

Seriously… Patrick Crayton is the most complete wide receiver the Cowboys have?"

You make some good points Vox, TO did the same when he was with the Eagles. When TO was with the Birds, even Todd Pinkston had a career year putting up big numbers. We're talking alligator arms, can't get off the line of scrimmage to save his life Pinkston prior to TO arriving.

Crayton is a serviceable 3rd receiver but if he were to draw real coverage other than a nickel corner, linebacker or safety he would be average at best. If he's smart he should just play football instead of running off his mouth - kind of reminds me of Freddie Mitchell but not that bad

I know the NFL likes to tout the Super Bowl... but I'm inclined to think that the Super Bowl and the Indianapolis 500 are pretty comparable. The Super Bowl is a larger economic impact on a region, but not by much it appears.

Seriously... Patrick Crayton is the most complete wide receiver the Cowboys have? The Cowboys are in BIG trouble is this is true. Thankfully, it's not. He's got pretty good hands (his very costly 3rd down drop with nothing but green field ahead of him in the playoffs against the Giants notwithstanding) and that's about it. He talks waaaaay too much trash for his talent level. 50 catches and 7 TDs is impressive for a guy that was a 7th round draft pick, for sure, but how would he look if all-world guys like TO and Witten weren't drawing all the coverage? He all but disappeared in week 17 with TO on the sidelines. Also, while Crayton may not have a rep of not playing hard from whistle to whistle, quitting in the end zone on your route on 3rd down with 21 seconds left, down 4 points and you're a step ahead of the guy that's covering you is probably the very worst time that you could pick to dog it. I would agree that one bad game doesn't make a guy a bad player and I like the guy but Taylor needs to get off his jock.
