Last month, Miami Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga declared that defensive end Jason Taylor “deserves” to be traded to a Super Bowl contender.
But Huizenga now says that he won’t interfere with the decision of V.P. of football operations Bill Parcells and G.M. Jeff Ireland regarding Taylor’s future, if Taylor asks for a trade.
So what happened in the past three weeks? Could it be that the Tuna told Wayne to keep his nose out of the situation?
Ordinarily, we’d never dream that a front-office minion would speak so candidly to the owner of the team. But this is the Tuna we’re talking about. He speaks his mind, and he usually gets away with it.
Meanwhile, Taylor fell short of his goal to win Dancing with the Stars. That’s a shame.

Obviously, Taylor needs more time to study the intricacies of “the dance.”

Huizenga has always spoken candidly about the Dolphins, so he does probably feel that way about Taylor. He’s just answering questions from reporters. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t defer to the guy whom he hired to actually run the football operation, Parcells. Why does there have to be a conspiracy or subterfuge?

Come to Baltimore. Ray Lewis has been doing the same nasty crotch dance for 13 years, and T Suggs has the most hideous sack dance of all time. They need a new dance leader, and the pass rush skills would really help put the Ravens D back in the devastaing form of 2006.

Must we continue stupid rumors?! The BP/JT rumors are enough… now its a BP/WH rumor? Come on! First of all, Wayne doesnt own the whole team like he did before. Now its a 50/50 split so he cant continue to be the spokes person for the team. Second, BP/WH are best friends.

I’m sure if he did, it was way more tactful than you portray it.

Baltimore?! If Jason Taylor isn’t a Dolphin, he’ll be making the trip up north to play with New England.

Taylor is wrong. His behavior verges on Tiki Barber’s. He is putting his needs and post career above his team. I would not want him on my team. I’m sure if Dolphin players answered honestly, they would tell you they lost respect for him.
Quit now JT because Bill will make your life a living hell. Go join the Riverdance team.

At this late juncture of his career, Parcells is even more inclined to directly and forcibly speak his mind. What’s the worst they can do to him? If the Dolphins dump him, he’ll be exiled to Saratoga, where he can bet the ponies all summer.

Can we stop the Parcells is still a genius bit. This millennium Jason Taylor has been with more winning teams than has the Tuna—
