Browns tight end Kellen Winslow isn’t present for voluntary workouts, and the team doesn’t know where he is.
On Wednesday, coach Romeo Crennel said that the team hasn’t heard from Winslow, and that the team doesn’t know why he’s not attending.
Meanwhile, agent Drew Rosenhaus downplays Winslow’s absence in a SprintTV posting. Rosenhaus says that Winslow is rehabbing his knee, which was the subject of yet another surgery in the offseason. Rosenhaus also explains that Winslow, who has made no secret of his desire for a new contract, will attending all mandatory activities.
“[T]here shouldn’t be so much scrutiny on players that choose to work out on their own,” Rosenhaus says. The full clip appears below.

Rosenhaus is right. Way too much is made out of these guys missing OTAs. Who cares?
He’ll be there for training camp, and, more importantly, for the games.

Maybe he’s on the road riding that nice motorcycle of his. One of the most, if not the most talented tight end in the league has time bomb written all over him. No dumb move news would supprise me with this guy.

Does anyone else notice that this is typical for all of Rosenhaus’s clients? They all want new contracts and do whatever they can to get them.

MidnightGreenOmen, that’s because you are. Drew Rosenhaus may well be the antichrist.
All I can say about KW II is that it takes a huge sack to want a new contract after missing the first two of your three years in the league. It’s not like he’s established himself as a multiple pro bowl selection so far in his career.

Kellon is a “TURD”. Why you ask?
He beat up his best friend in San Diego, put him in the hospital with 20+ staples in his head, and a broken arm. Now his pal is suing him for 2.3 mil. Just another Raider a-hole spreading rumors? Or is there a story here, before it breaks. TURD TURD TURD!!!!

Rosenhaus is a goofball all his guys want new deals, Dockett ,Boldin, TO, Ocho Sinco, dont they realize he did a shitty deal to begin with? KW II, gosh when does it end?

@Shackman, he missed his first 2 seasons, and has only missed 2 games in the last 2. Caught 80+ passes each of the last 2 years. That’s better production than a ton of WRs getting paid a lot more than he is.
That being said, I still think Winslow is being overzealous* in his demands. If he were still on his rookie deal, sure. But, uh, the soldier already signed a long-term deal, and is making $4, $4.5, and $4.75 million the next three seasons, respectively. Not exactly underpaid for a TE.
Clearly Winslow feels his f’n soldier status means he should be the highest paid TE in the league.
Here’s a priceless Winslow tidbit to support that theory (in 2006, coming back from injury):
“I hate to be brash”, Winslow said. “But I think my 90 percent is still better than every tight end out there.”
Here’s another just for (poops) and giggles:
“”Yeah, I don’t give a hell. It’s about this U, man. I don’t give a flyin’ you-know-what about a Vol.”
