When tight end Randy McMichael was cut by the Dolphins and landed with the Rams, high expectations immediately followed.
But McMichael simply didn’t deliver.
The problem was, in part, that a rash of injuries to offensive tackles required the Rams to keep McMichael in to help with the blocking. As a result, he had the lowest production of his career.
“It was a miserable year, not just for me but for the team,” McMichael said of last season. “It just seemed like everything that could go wrong did go wrong for us.”
This time around, the linemen are healthy (for now), and new offensive coordinator Al Saunders is bringing back the Greatest Show on Turf-style approach that Mike Martz once used to take the team to a Super Bowl title.
“As soon as I found out that they’d hired Coach Saunders, I got really excited; this is the kind of offense I’ve dreamed of playing in my whole career,” McMichael said. “I’m just having a good time right now. I think it’s going to be a fun year for everybody.”

If Saunders brings Martz’ approach, McMichael shouldn’t be happy. He may get cut. Martz doesn’t like TEs.
Now if Saunders brings his style from KC, he may catch 80-90 balls.

For McMichael to catch “80-90 balls”, he’d have to thrown at least 200. I watched him whine about getting the ball thrown his way in Miami only to, then, consistently drop routine passes that would’ve been first downs or touchdowns. Why do you think he was cut in Miami?

How many guys were cut by Miami in the past couple of years and went on to success elsewhere? Anyone?

He use to use that line I will do better next in Miami. He kept on dropping passes which is what got him cut and never held to his word of improvement.

Hey monger,
Wes Welker was the only one to leave Miami and be successful, and he was TRADED not cut. Can you think of anyone else? Cuz Id really like to know. Maybe you should do a little research first before posting your ingenious little comments.

Conwell and Manumaleuna never caught diddley for the rams. they were used mostly to keep warner and bulger upright. when conwell did get a ball thrown his way, the defense was flatfooted.

Monger… not ‘cut’, it was more like ‘freeagent tendered’. And that list is pretty long. McMichael was never cut, he was just left to freeagent himself. As for cut, those guys are guys like Cecil Collins, and Lawrence Phillips were cut within the year of play.
McMichael doesnt have his head on right. I suppose now he will go home and punch his wife in the gut to make better plays. The dude is a worthless wifebeater!
