Broncos running back Travis Henry, who staved off a one-year suspension for violation of the substance abuse policy in 2007 and who took a pay cut to avoid being released earlier this year, will miss the team’s offseason workouts this week due to a hamstring injury.
Henry pulled the muscle on Friday while running 100-yard dashes as part of the team’s strength and conditioning program. (It’s unknown whether the injury has been confirmed via the administration of a polygraph test.)
Initially, no explanation for the absence was given, prompting speculation that Henry might be boycotting the session.

At least the Broncos administor the lie detector test… See if you can get Belicheat to take one or any of the cheaters, I mean Patriots.
If this wasn’t true about Henry, Mike wouldn’t hesitate to axe him.

It is classless and despicable to terminate a man from his
employment for attending the funeral of a close relative
rather than attending a so called Voluntary session. In
all likelyhood Thurman welcomes release from such a program
as the actions make it increasingly clear why so many players
(and whiners) want out of Bungal Land. The league needs to
look into forcing the sale of the Bungals to someone who
will do something with the franchise besides give the sport
a black eye!

A polygraphed man has few lies, a flayed man has none.

Jaothcg, get serious buddy. Odell got canned because he wasn’t performing. Its terrible about his grandmother but his NFL career is hanging in the balance and he can’t even make one quick flight up to Cincy to say Hi to his coaches? Doesn’t matter anyway. If he’s still has ability someone will take a chance on him.

Are any drug tests being administered? If Henry gets popped again, he’s done. If I were him and knew my piss was dirty, I’d stay away from camp too. One surprise urine inspection and its all she wrote. Even if they start fining him on a per-day basis, he better steer clear until he knows beyond a doubt he’s clean…
